Penn State Prof Wants to Rid America of Conservative Christians

Penn State English prof Mel Seesholtz is not pleased at all that Arnold Schwarzenegger resisted a power play by gay activists by vetoing the euphemistically named "Bias-Free Curriculum Act," which called for indoctrinating California schoolchildren on the merits of homosexuality and transsexuality, starting in kindergarten.

Seesholtz blames the Governator's shockingly responsible behavior on the influence of the Left's most dreaded bogeyman, the Religious Right, i.e., conservative Christians. Here's what he has to say about them:

A very wise woman recently asked me "Who will rid us of the evil lunatics?"
We will. We must. Public education and a civil, civilized society depend upon it.

Seesholtz doesn't specify how society will rid itself of these "evil lunatics." Romans used to feed them to lions, but I'm sure liberals would consider that exploitative of animals.

One of the specific targets of Seesholtz's righteous wrath is Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily, who notes that the Professor will be teaching a class entitled "Religion in American Life and Thought." Somehow I doubt Christians will be cast as the good guys.

Not that Seesholtz is likely to inflict upon students anything they haven't heard before. As Farah observes,

[T]here are more little, bigoted, intolerant rats like this dwelling in the sewers that are America's universities than you could imagine.
