One Small Step Toward Sanity

An appeals court has ruled that it is possible to fire irresponsible airline pilots, even if they're Muslim.
Trans States Airlines pilot Mohammed Shanif Hussein was canned one week after 9/11 when he was seen in uniform, drinking in a bar. His presence was particularly conspicuous because he raised his beer in salute to a TV screen showing his fellow Muslims crashing a plane into the World Trade Center.
His lawyer argued that it would be discrimination to fire a Muslim. Besides, Hussein said that the huge smile he had on his face as he watched thousands of Americans being murdered was actually inspired by his wife being pregnant. But the 8th Circuit ruled that airlines do have a right to fire pilots for public drinking in uniform, even if they belong to a death cult sworn to our destruction.
