Islam's Intimidation Campaign
As Daniel Pipes points out, Islam's current intimidation campaign against the West didn't start yesterday — although lately it has been picking up steam.
Pipes notes a few milestones:
- 1989: Over 20 were killed in rioting in India after Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini issued a death edict against Salman Rushdie for writing The Satanic Verses.
- 1997: The U.S. Supreme Court refused to remove a 60-odd-year-old frieze that CAIR didn't like because it had Mohammad in it. More lethal riots in India ensued.
- 2002: Jerry Falwell referred to Mohammad as a "terrorist," resulting in still more lethal rioting as well as church burnings in India.
- 2005: A bogus Newsweek story alleging that Americans were flushing Korans down toilets at Club Gitmo led to at least 15 deaths in Muslim rioting.
- February 2006: The Cartoon Intifada over a few utterly innocuous Danish cartoons resulted in hundreds of deaths in Muslim rioting.
- September 2006: Christians have been murdered and churches firebombed by Muslims after Pope Benedict XVI quoted a Byzantine emperor who understandably wasn't fond of Islam.
The contrived outbursts come closer and closer together. When they shove, we step back, mumbling apologies that invite them to shove again that much sooner.
Pipes notes that incidents get a lot more traction in Europe than they do in the USA. This is due not only to the ongoing Muslim colonization of Europe, but also to Europe's more advanced moonbattery, which has made it easier prey for bullies.
No one can guess what excuse Muslims might seize upon for their next explosion, since any random pretext will do. The rioting and demands for apologies have no meaningful connection to Danish cartoons or speeches by the Pope. Religion-of-Peaceniks are getting across a message, loud and clear, which Pipes sums up as:
You Westerners no longer have the privilege to say what you will about Islam, the Prophet, and the Qur'an, because Islamic law rules you too.
In other words, Muslims are telling us that we are already dhimmis. If we don't shrug off moonbattery and recover the will to defend our civilization, each future round of rioting will make it all the more obvious how right they are.

I didn't know about the Supreme Court fiasco. It's a good thing we had Chief Justice Rehnquist to tell CAIR to pack sand.
Can you imagine the gall it takes for some group to demand that the U.S. Supreme Court alter its architecture because they are offended.

I know is that Islam worships a false god and a false prophet and that on Judgement Day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
We know the long term out come of this current resurgence of crusading Islam; it is defeated.
