Carcinogenic Chicken Suit

Freelance food police are now going after restaurants and fast-food chains for serving grilled chicken that allegedly could cause cancer.

A DC posse calling itself Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine wisely filed their suit in moonbattery-laden California, where sympathetic judges and juries should not be hard to find. The goal is "to compel the restaurants to warn unsuspecting consumers" of the evils of broiled chicken, which contains an obscure chemical called PhIP that in sufficient doses could supposedly cause cancer.

Cries PCRM president Neal Barnard:

Even a grilled chicken salad increases the risk of breast cancer, prostate cancer and other forms of this lethal disease.

The victims of the suit are McDonald's, Burger King, Chick-fil-A, Chili's, Applebee's, Outback Steakhouse, TGI Friday's, and indirectly, their customers, who will have to pick up the cost of warning one and all not to eat their grilled chicken.

It might be easier to list the foods guaranteed not to cause cancer.

Will the chickens we eat take their revenge?

On a tip from Wiggins.

I wonder if this group has any connection to PETA. Animal rights wackos will go to any length to get their way.

Someone should tell these clowns that life increases your chances of getting a disease. Maybe they should file a lawsuit to have everyone killed.

Steve's right. If you want to avoid cancer, get aborted. Those kids have zero rates of heart disease and cancer. Can't get healthier than that.

When I first read the headline, before I read the article, I thought - why not just taken off the chicken suit?

Then, I thought that these restaurants should offer foie gras instead of grilled chicken.

The suit is another argument for EATAPETA Day. Veal chops would be good, with an appetizer of foie gras. A cabernet or malbec would be good with the foie gras. How the veal is cooked would determine the choice of its wine.
