Profiles in Moonbattery: Aimee Allison
The Oakland Military Institute is a public charter school that provides an opportunity to escape from Oakland's decadence and squalor. As the school's superintendent Bruce Holaday puts it:
[W]hat we're offering — habits of good character, looking sharp, being polished, polite and well educated — a lot of families do appreciate.
One person who definitely does not appreciate this is Aimee Allison, who is unfortunately a member of Oakland's City Council. Allison has been screeching that considering the $7,400 per student it's given every year, the school is underachieving. Granted, that's too much money, but other Oakland public schools get the same. As for underachieving: last year it ranked fourth out of 21 Oakland middle schools in the state index.
A more serious sin, from Allison's point of view, is that many students go from military high schools to careers as military officers. Ms. Allison, comfy and safe because our military keeps her that way, is building a career on objecting to war. She wants the moonbat-laden Oakland school board to discuss the school's continued operations — i.e., to kill it.
Allison makes Mayor Jerry Brown (formerly known as Governor Moonbeam) look downright Republican by comparison. Since opening the school six years ago, Brown has watched it grow to 500 students. He notes that "it's unconscionable for an Oakland politician to take away an educational opportunity that parents want."
Unconscionable — but hardly surprising, considering Allison's background. Running under the banner of the Green Party, she won her council seat by campaigning on a four-issue platform, one of which was "limiting recruitment on local high school campuses."
Allison won the admiration of moonbats nationwide in 1991 when the Army Reserve unit in which she was supposed to serve as a medic was deployed to Saudi Arabia and she was able to finagle an honorable discharge by appealing all the way to federal court after declaring herself to be a conscientious objector.
Although it's anybody's guess what could possibly be honorable about joining the reserves for the financial benefits, then refusing to give medical treatment to wounded American soldiers, Allison emphasized this sordid episode in her campaign. Oakland has degenerated to the point that this apparently helped her get elected.

Ah, unlike the Yellow Elephant, the Yellow Moonbat is quite common in the wild.
I think an appropriate caption for that photo is, "Real men, like a certain former Marine, have balls this big, but people like me don't have any because we're little pansies."

One small correction: Allison has not been elected. She is running for a seat against incumbent Pat Kernighan.

Has she returned the money she took from the US taxpayer to finance her education?

What's really frightening is that if you watch Governor Moonbeam (he's to be seen on Fox from time to time), he seems sane and rational compared to the elected Democrats.

I'd do her and then tell the biatch to get me some pickled herring and malt liquor. Biatch better have my money.
On a serious note though, what a sub human to so brazenly use the military to get an education and then conveniently object to having to help in a war. F^%$ing stupid POS.

Caption should read: "I need both hands to hold my d#^k, and don't make me whip it out to prove it to you imperialist offspring!"
Her face looks like Bill Cosby in those Jello Pudding commercials.
