Marine Fights Back Against Murtha
Could it be that John Murtha will actually have to pay a price for the seditious lies he has screamed to the media in his frantic efforts to bring about our defeat in Iraq?
As you might recall, Murtha had the following to bellow regarding the Haditha incident:
[T]here was no firefight, there was no IED (improvised explosive device) that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.
No responsible person would make these allegations without an investigation, because at this point only those who were there know what really happened.
One man who was there is Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Frank Wuterich, and he is not taking Murtha's politically inspired abuse lying down. Earlier his lawyers made it clear that if Wuterich is charged in the Haditha incident, Murtha will be called to the stand to repeat his calumnies under oath. Now Wuterich is suing the Pennsylvania Democrat for libel and invasion of privacy.
Naturally Moonbat Jack will hide behind the "speech and debate" clause of the Constitution, which protects members of Congress from being held legally accountable for what comes out of their mouths. But Wuterich's lawyers hold that Murtha's hyperbolic ravings about the Marines' alleged crimes were made outside the scope of his role as Congressman. Legal experts have held that the clause only applies to what is said during legislative proceedings, not the slander attention-hungry Representatives may spew to the ever-receptive media.
The point of the suit is of course not money, but to clear Wuterich's name — which will be all the harder to do after a Congressman has gone out of his way to convince the public that he's guilty.
As for how two dozen people came to be killed at Haditha that day, Wuterich reports that Marines were engaged in a firefight with suspected insurgents; they used grenades and rifles to clear two houses that were determined to be hostile. His account has detailed eye-witness corroboration. Until something more substantial than Jack Murtha's treasonous posturing comes to light to discredit him, I'll take Wuterich at his word.

Oops! The report came out today from NCIS backing up Murtha. Seems he was quoting his sources in the Defense Department all along.

Nobody, even the Marines, ever said they shot them accidently. Of course they shot them deliberately - they were defending themselves. What that story doesn't say is that they killed those people in cold blood. So the NCIS report does NOT back Murtha up.

The report backs up Murtha. Afterall, his comments came while he was quoting from the document.
The Sgt's defense team is now trying to get a fatwa to dig up the bodies hoping they'll come up with some new evidence that shows the killings weren't from random fire.
The defense argues the people died from random shots when they were caught in crossfire.
Seems NCIS has a ton of photos taken at the time of the shootings showing women and children shot execution style or at point blank range -- pretty much shooting down that defense. And no weapons found at the site.
Try to keep up.

Well, hell, Junior...why even bother with the trial? You and your boy Murtha already have it figured out, without hearing any evidence or defense or anything.
Then again, your kind has said that Osama was "innocent until proven guilty", yet you extend no such benefit of the doubt to a U.S. Marine.
No wonder nobody listens to you people on matters of defense. You people are sick.

John the moonbat retard murtha should not only be suied by that marine, he should be sued by all armed forces, He should also be impeached from congress for miss conduct and comments unbecoming that of a congressman of the united states , and he is not the only one all those blocking everything to prevent america from becoming energy independent should hit the road to that is why we are paying three dollars a gallon for gas these moreons in congress.

It's hard keeping up when you appear to be making things up.
