Julia Sweig Explains "Why They Hate Us"

The recently aborted major terrorist attack has provided professional blatherer Julia Sweig with an opportunity to offer yet another rendition of the classic liberal tune, Why They Hate Us. Unsurprisingly, she only succeeds in explaining why moonbats hate us.

Here are the primary sins for which the world might hate America, according to Sweig:

• Bush's "tough talk after 9/11."
• Failure to commit economic suicide with the absurd Kyoto accord.
• Removing a menacing, genocidal dictator from power in Iraq.
• Incarcerating terrorists.
• Winning the cold war against communist totalitarianism.
• Being powerful.
• Not applauding when our "ally" Germany knifed us in the back over Iraq.
• Being associated with the wealth and opportunity made possible by globalization.
• Being capitalist.
• Being characterized by the media as indifferent to the victims of Katrina.
• Being so "vulnerable, hostile and fearful" that some of us want the border defended against foreign invasion.

Actually, the number one reason we are hated by our enemies is that we aren't Muslims. Number two is that we support democratic Israel against totalitarian terrorists. Sweig doesn't get around to mentioning either.

Personally I can think of only one legitimate reason people might hate America: it's riddled with useless idiots like Julia Sweig.
