End May Be Near for ACLU's Judicial Blackmail

As Edmund Burke said,

All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.

This principle has allowed the ACLU to thrive for generations, eating away at our civilization any way it can to the delight of the liberal elite as the rest of us shrug and wonder what we can do. Fortunately, this may be changing.

One of the ACLU's most insidious tactics is to rely on left-leaning judges' habit of awarding them attorney's fees in Establishment Clause cases. These are cases in which the ACLU uses the First Amendment — which guarantees freedom of religion — as a pretext to repress Christianity. After financially breaking the kneecaps of anyone who dares bring Christianity into the public sphere, ACLU jackals are then lavishly compensated by the taxpayers, despite working pro bono.

Not only is this a lucrative revenue stream for this pernicious organization, but it often allows it to get its way simply by threatening to litigate, since governments from the local to the federal level fear having to pay it massive legal fees. This is known as "judicial blackmail." It differs from having the Mafia threaten to break your windows in that larger sums of money are involved, and the Mafia isn't devoted to destroying our heritage and our religious freedom.

Kudos to Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) for finally doing something about it. He has introduced a bill that will

prevent the use of the legal system in a manner that extorts money from State and local governments, and the Federal Government.

Joe March of the American Legion elaborates that the legislation

would amend or revise the Civil Rights Act, in terms of eliminating the ability of judges to award attorney's fees, in cases where there is litigation brought against religious symbols in this country ... and things such as the Boy Scouts and public seals.

High time.

Anything that restrains the American Communist Lawyers Union is a very very good thing!

Maybe the ACLU should representthis pervert oppressed victim of the Christianist Theocracy. After all, they did go to the mat for NAMBLA's right to tell pedophiles how to rape and murder children and get away with it.

Today, they're telling a "Pagan Friar" he can molest autistic boys. Tomorrow, we will all be mandated to use the Missionary Position on the handmaids we'll keep chained in the breeding huts.

It's a great step, but we all know it will be struck down by the 9th circuit before it ever goes into effect.
