Defeated Mexican Leftists to Place Elected Government "Under Siege"
When it comes to losing poorly, defeated Mexican presidential candidate Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador and his leftist supporters have managed to outdo even Al Gore's appalling 2000 performance by promising to place Felipe Calderon "under siege" when his election is confirmed.
A spokesman for Lopez Obrador's party growled that Calderon will "not be able to operate outside his office" when he becomes President. Fernandez also promises that Vicente Fox's last State of the Nation address on September 1 "will not be a picnic" — presumably because leftist thugs will disrupt it.
As with the 2000 Sore-Loserman ticket, the leftist Democratic Revolution Party has already lost, but they are dragging the country through a senseless recount process — despite the margin being almost a quarter million votes. Supporters camping out in front of Mexico's Congress building clashed with police yesterday, requiring the use of batons and tear gas.
Al Gore must be very proud to see his legacy at work in the world, and to see the Left's deep commitment to democracy underscored once again.

Hell, Texaggie, if Mexico wanted to 'be like us' the way you seem to mean it, their leftwing dolts wouldn't have lost by a quarter-million votes.
I find the news that the "supporters' clashed with police encouraging. Here the anti-Bush nuts have often stepped WAY over the line of what the public should have to tolerate in the name of the First Amendment, but only rarely have they been called on it ion any serious way. Sheehan should have been arrested for creating a public nuisance (other than herself) when she camped out near Bush's ranch. Maybe if the Mexican cops crack enough heads their Left will decide the cost of playing silly buggers is too high.

What about that idiot Jimmah Carter? When is he going to weigh in on this?
