Charlie Rangel Promises to Go Away
As if we didn't have enough reasons to make very sure the Dems don't retake Congress in November, the irresponsible moonbat Charles Rangel, who is line to be Chairman of the excessively powerful Ways and Means Committee if Dems take over, has promised to resign his seat if they do not.
Rangel has represented Harlem for almost 35 years. He is a noisy critic of the Iraq War, and given to cheap publicity stunts like getting himself arrested and introducing a bill to reinstate the draft. As Discover the Networks documents, he has played the race card relentlessly, claiming that anything the Left opposes — e.g., cutting taxes, welfare reform, arresting criminals, failing to vote for kooks like Fernando Ferrer, partially privatizing Social Security — is racist. His demagoguery is so over the top that he sometimes seems to be deliberately poking fun at himself. Republican policies are beneath even Hitler, President Bush is just like Bull Connor, etc.
According to Rangel, referring to Islamic terror as Islamic terror "is discriminating, it's bigoted." He also has a soft spot for the dictatorship in Cuba. When Castro toured Harlem in 1995, Rangel gave him a bear hug and joined in a prolonged standing ovation for the brutal totalitarian thug. He opposed a House resolution in support of pro-democracy dissidents in the prison camp communism has made of Cuba.
Although Rangel is hardly the kind of guy you take at his word, there is a slight chance he really will go away if the Dems lose, so please vote wisely.

You promise, Charlie?!? We're gonna hold you to this, then! [What kind of a threat is "this" supposed to be, anyway?] We can only wish a few more of them would make this same threat - ahh - I mean, promise.
Oh, and your posting isn't particularly sensitive to Charlie's "pc-ness." I mean, come on, everyone knows you can't be calling Islamic terrorists Islamic terrorists. That would be like calling a spade a spade.

I wish that they would make illegal drugs legal.
Maybe the democrats would take more of them and do the world a favor and jump off of a thirty five story building.
