Carter Denounces Blair for Supporting America

Posted by Dave Blount at August 27, 2006 1:03 PM

Tony Blair has shown a great deal of political courage by standing firm beside Britain's historic ally America and participating in the struggle to defend civilization from the terror threats emanating from the Middle East. For this, former American President Jimmy Carter has rewarded him with a knife in the back.

As Blair attempts to rally his restive party behind him, Carter has once again let his mouth fall open to pour forth the seditious nastiness that appears to characterize his every thought. Clucked Jimbo:

I have been surprised and extremely disappointed by Tony Blair's behavior.

Blair earned Jimbo's stern disapproval by participating in rather than impeding the foreign policy of a country Carter obviously hates — his own. For this crime, Carter denounced Blair as being "compliant and subservient."

Carter also took the opportunity to repeat the tired and nonsensical canard that killing terrorists in Iraq will only make them angry, thereby strengthening al Qaeda. He also berated America for having low approval ratings in Egypt, the enlightened land that produced Mohammad Atta and that is handed $2 billion per year courtesy of American taxpayers as a legacy of Carter's disastrous administration.

Other irresponsible idiocies predictably spewed by this shameful old gadfly include the false and corrosive notions that Iraq is "not better off" having replaced a genocidal dictatorship with a democracy, and that the USA and Britain "are not safer" having rid the world of a tyrant who openly supported terrorism, developed and used weapons of mass destruction, and attempted to assassinate Jimbo's fellow ex-President Bush Senior.

That the Democratic Party would inflict treasonous vermin like Jimmy Carter on the nation without apology is reason enough to oppose it with every ounce of your will.
