BDS and Thanatos: Which Is the Chicken, Which Is the Egg?
Many believe that Democrats' disturbing unwillingness to confront Islamic terrorism results from Bush Derangement Syndrome having festered into such an extreme psychopathology that Dems cannot perceive this rather obvious threat or anything else other than their own sputtering hatred of the President.
But others think it works the other way around: liberals don't oppose the war on terror because they hate President Bush; they hate W because he is fighting terrorists.
Unlikely as the latter explanation may sound, Ann Coulter holds that liberals would hate Bush "for fighting terrorists even if he had a 'D' after his name." Lieberman's defeat to the one-issue cut-and-run Lamont certainly supports this. Hillary Clinton, who gets howled at by anti-war moonbats everywhere she goes, also has a pacifist primary challenger in Jonathan Tasini.
Liberals' most vociferous attacks against the President have nothing to do with his actual shortcomings, such as his refusal to defend the Mexican border, to get federal spending under control, or to refrain from signing abominations like McCain–Feingold. Nothing inflames libs like his highly successful efforts to defend the country from the terrorism associated with Islamic imperialism.
But the problem with believing that Dems hate Bush because of the war on terror and not the other way around is that it would mean they want their own country to be destroyed by evil savages. That's too crazy to be true — isn't it?

I think we need to define terms.
Lieberman is a liberal. Lamont, Kos, et. al. are Leftists, radical at that. There is a difference.
I can tolerate liberals.
I despise Leftists.

She's right. Personally I find Ms. COulter as irritating as Mureen Dowd but sometimes she's just dead right.

The Left (Radical, Liberal, and off-the -wall) oppose fighting terrorism because they simply don't believe that it will ever happen to THEM.
This is how they could support Marxism for all these decades, without being derailed by the simple historical fact that every successful Marxist revolution has at some point liquidated the chattering classes en masse.

A minority do hate Bush solely because of his War-On-Terror. Their hatred stems from their own unrecognized self-hatred. Kinda similiar to a habitual drunk or drug abuser. I find them to be closer to child-like - society ruiner's or anarchist who serve little purpose but to help speed-up the melt-down process of the Democratic party.
BTW - Great site! I've linked you to my blog.

This site goes way beyond garden variety right-wing ignorance, to the level of hate-spewing moronic idiocy.
