Soldier Turned Moonbat Watada Charged

The staggeringly arrogant Lieutenant Ehren Watada, who refused to go to Iraq because the struggle against terrorists there doesn't suit his politics, has now been charged by the Army for missing movement, contempt toward officials, and conduct unbecoming an officer.

Watada volunteered for the Army after the war in Iraq was underway. He doesn't apply for conscientious objector status because he says he isn't against war per se. He's just against fighting to avoid the catastrophe that would follow the collapse of the democratic regime in Iraq.

Needless to say, if soldiers don't have to follow orders that don't happen to conform to their current political views, the military will be totally dysfunctional — which is why this absurd character is regarded as a hero on the Left.

For now, Watada continues to work at the Fort Lewis base from which he refused to be deployed. He could face a few years in the brig, dishonorable discharge, and forfeiture of pay. Regrettably a richly deserved death by firing squad seems to be off the table.

Good.

There have been a few cases of Marines and soldiers refusing orders to Iraq. Sometimes I think they should just be slapped with a bad conduct discharge to get rid of them. Their kind isn't wanted or needed in the military, and throwing them in the brig or stockade doesn't really accomplish much.

I'm sure there are some who might be more inclined to miss a movement if they knew they would just get kicked out, though. Time behind bars is an added deterrent.

Shooting is probably an excessive punishment for goddamned fools. For one thing, who has the time? For another, do we HAVE that many bullets?

How does this "Moonbat hero" enlist in june of 2003 and not think He may go to Iraq? There's more to this agenda than meets they eye.
