Rick Santorum Comes Close to Naming the Enemy
Kudos to Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) for having the courage to admit that we are not at war with the tactic terrorism, but with the people who insist on using this tactic throughout the world to impose their barbarous ideology — which Santorum refers to as Islamic fascism.
Calling our struggle the War on Terror is politically "safe and misleading," Santorum observes. In WWII our enemy was not blitzkrieg but those who employed it, and the same holds true with terrorism today.
Santorum noted that "Islamic fascism" is "truly evil" and that it poses "as big a threat today as Nazism or Soviet Communism," adding that it "is the great test of this generation.
The first step toward passing this test is being able to look the enemy in the eye and call it by its name. Thank you Senator Santorum for dispensing with the staggeringly moronic "religion of peace" rhetoric and moving us in the right direction. We'll know we stand a chance when we can drop the redundant "fascism" part and just admit that what we are fighting is Islam — as our ancestors have been doing for well over a millennium.
No one wants to go to war with over a billion people, but that doesn't change the fact that over a billion people are already at war with us. The only way civilized people can live on the same planet as Muslims is if it is made very clear to them that we are not going to join them in the Seventh Century hell they have made for themselves, and that they will be held accountable for their behavior by the standards of modern society.
Few have been willing to do this, due to the corrosion called political correctness having rusted away our spines. This is why the menace of Islam, having lain more or less dormant for centuries, is once again attempting to conquer the West. They can smell our weakness, which has a single source: moonbattery.

Santorum's just ripping off something I've been apparently saying since at least 2003:
