Qana: A Hezbollywood Production?
The Qana tragedy was exactly the media coup Hezbollah was shooting for with their strategy of firing rockets at Israeli civilians from behind Arab civilians. Dozens of dead children dragged out of the Israeli-made rubble for the salivating MSM cameramen make Qana perfect — possibly too perfect.
As Israel Insider reminds us, there are questions as to what exactly caused the building collapse in which 54 civilians are said to have died. The closest Israeli ordnance landed 20–30 meters away from the structure more than seven hours before it fell. Although a secondary explosion or a weakening of the building that caused a delayed collapse can't be ruled out, there are other questions:
- Why were dozens of women and children packed into a building that terrorists had been using to store weapons?
- Why was the roof intact?
- Why did the civilians supposedly sheltering in the basement not leave between the attack at 12:00–1:00 AM and the collapse at 8:00 AM?
- Why were the dead civilians found in the building not residents of the building?
- Why did civilians not heed ample Israeli warnings to leave the area?
- Why did Lebanese rescue teams not start evacuating the building until the morning?
- Why was there hardly any blood?
- Why did the bodies appear to have been dead for days?
- Could bodies from the temporary morgue at nearby Tyre have been brought in as props?
Faked footage is hardly unheard of in that part of the world. Arabs are useless in a fair fight, which is why they resort to terrorism, which is essentially a form of propaganda — something at which they excel. Palestinians are infamous for filming phony Israeli atrocities at their makeshift Pallywood studies.
If this whole incident produces a feeling of déjà vu, it's because ten years ago, while fighting Hezbollah terrorists who were using civilians as shields, Israel accidentally hit a refugee compound, killing 106 civilians in Qana. Osama bin Laden has used the incident as a pretext for his terrorist atrocities.
Whether staged or not, last Sunday's event in Qana was the direct result of conscious Hezbollah strategy, and produced exactly the desired result. Israel temporarily suspended air strikes, and the "world community" is clicking its tongue at heart-wrenching pictures of dead Arab children.
Once wars were won through the raw guts and military genius of heroes like George Patton, Bernard Montgomery, and Ariel Sharon. If we don't pull ourselves together, this one will be won through the treachery of terrorists.

Unlike WTC-7, the building in quana wasn't across the road from a pair 100 storey sky-scrapers that just fell down, and also unlike WTC-7 it was filled the gunnels with high explosives, weapons, bombs and bullets.

I no sooner posted that bit of snark than I came across a moonbat hijacking a comment thread (on a different blog) to make exactly that connection...ignoring the same points you raise (and more) even when brought to his attention. Too predictable.
