Portraits in Jew-Hating Left-Wing Dhimmitude: José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero
The Left hasn't been generous in repaying Jews for their traditional support. In a time of crisis for Israel, the liberal press astonishingly sides with the terrorists laying siege to it. Communists march beside pro-terrorist Palestinians in San Francisco demonstrations. Among Europe's left-leaning elite, anti-Semitism is more fashionable even than anti-Americanism.
Take Spain's Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero. The Socialist Zapatero was elected on a platform of appeasing terrorists and bashing America in direct response to al Qaeda's March 11, 2004 terror attacks in the most contemptible display of national cowardice ever witnessed in modern times. Unsurprisingly, the wages of appeasement has been more terrorism under Zapatero.
In addition to his hard-left politics, Zapatero is known for hating Jews. He claims to understand the Nazis when it comes to what they used to call "the Jewish question."
But don't call Zapatero an anti-Semite. After all, Arab terrorists are Semites too.
