Philly Bureaucrat Tries to Impose Gays on Boy Scouts
The latest assault in the Left's crusade to subvert and/or destroy the Boy Scouts is taking place in Philadelphia, where City Solicitor Romulo L. Diaz Jr. is attempting to strong-arm the Cradle of Liberty Boy Scouts Council into excepting openly homosexual Scouts and leaders. Diaz is publicly gay himself, but absurdly claims that has nothing to do with his efforts.
If the Scouts don't knuckle under, they could face eviction from the building they have occupied rent-free since 1928. But if they do, the consequences will be even worse, and not only because it would undermine the basic liberty of freedom of association, and force them to forsake their principles.
Although it is almost never acknowledged by the media unless the Catholic church is involved, homosexuals often prey on underage boys — sometimes raping and killing them.
Does anyone remember Jesse Dirkhising? The 13-year-old boy was repeatedly raped and sexually tortured by homosexual lovebirds Joshua Macabe Brown and Davis Don Carpenter. He ended up dead with his own underwear duct-taped into his mouth. If you don't recall the story, it's probably because the mainstream media would hardly go near it.
If crimes like this weren't discretely buried by the politically correct media, it would be obvious to everyone that compelling the Boy Scouts to accept openly gay scoutmasters is not a bright idea. It would almost certainly attract an element that would endanger the lives of children.
But then, the lives of children have never been a concern for abortion supporters or Andrea Yates' apologists, so there's no reason to think this will slow down gay activists as they ruthlessly ram their agenda down everyone else's throat.

Boy, you'd think there were no homosexuals involved in Scouting at all. Some have the common decency to keep their sex lives to themselves. Why is it that some homosexuals have to proclaim their sex habits to the world? Shut up already.

Why is it the left always wants to take over other people's organizations instead of starting their own? Why can't they just create a gay-friendly alternative to the boy scouts, dedicated to atheism, multi-culturalism, and peace activism, and see how many parents they can get to sign up with them?

The Scouts can't have it both ways. Freedom of speech is never free. If they want to ban gays -- they should be men enough to accept the consequences of being shunned by groups or organizations opposed to discrimination.
I see it as a character building exercise for the Scouts (and their leaders).
As for accepting gays and atheists -- there's always the Girl Scouts. They openly accept all girls.

I agree that homosexuals should be banned from the scouting program. BUT, aren't you confusing homosexuals with pedophiles? I'm NOT condoning either one; however, these are two separate and distinct classifications of aberrant behavior. Fortunately for me, the homosexuals I've encountered in the workplace are in long term committed relationships with another consenting adult. IMHO, to cast them as potential murderers, preying on young children, is a little harsh.
