Liberal House Dems Won't Condemn Terror Attacks Against Israel
Last week Congress voted on a bill "condemning the recent attacks against the State of Israel, holding terrorists and their state-sponsors accountable for such attacks, supporting Israel's right to defend itself, and for other purposes."
Who would vote against such a bill? Liberal democrats, of course, as noted by OpinionJournal:
- Neil Abercrombie (D-HI)
- John Conyers (D-MI)
- John Dingell (D-MI)
- Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick (D-MI)
- Jim McDermott (D-WA)
- Ron Paul (R-TX)
- Nick Rahall (D-WV)
- Fortney Hillman Stark Jr. (D-CA)
Others voted "Present" — essentially the same thing as "Against" in this case, but with even less moral courage:
- Marcy Kaptur (D-OH)
- Dennis Kucinich (D-OH)
- Barbara Lee (D-CA)
- Maxine Waters (D-CA)
The lone "Republican" opposed, Ron Paul, is actually a Libertarian, who ran for President on that party's ticket in 1988, and who wanted to issue letters of marque to fight al Qaeda instead of going into Afghanistan following September 11.
Yet Democrats continue to rely on heavy Jewish support. Some mysteries defy comprehension.

It does defy logic.
