Lefty Blogs Side With Terrorists Against Israel
Congress and the MSM aren't the only places where the Left's betrayal of Israel has been on prominent display. The anti-Zionism on the left end of the blogosphere rivals Hezbollah's.
Here's what a Daily Kos commenter had to say last Friday:
Hezbollah is a response [t]o a needless war caused by a mistake. Richard Cohen said today in the Washington Post: "Israel's worst mistake is forgetting that Israel was a mistake." That isn't all he said, but the mere fact that the Post had the brass ones to print it is the handwriting on the wall for Israel. Time to fold the tent.
In other words, time for the entire nation of Israel to just die, in accordance with Richard's Cohen's twisted wishes.
Yesterday, Daily Kos announced that it is an "obscenity" that the USA is providing material support for Israel's efforts at self-defense. Amazingly, the "corporate media" is berated for not being sufficiently hostile to Israel. According to Kos (italics theirs):
The United States is now a legitimate military target in that war.
Since 9/11, we all know we're a target, but only on the lunatic Left is it known that we are a legitimate target for providing supplies to a democratic ally struggling to survive against Islam's terrorist onslaught.
Less well known than Daily Kos, but no less left-wing or hostile to Israel, is Culture and Life News, which accuses Israel of war crimes, America of complicity and both countries of not being democracies. Israel, a tiny free nation surrounded by hostile Muslim autocracies, is characterized as "the bully boy of the Middle East" in the same sentence that our President is yet again accused of having "stolen" the election.
These two blogs are representative of the Left in that they spit up pure moonbattery, unadulterated by even a hint of common sense. By now it's clear that moonbat orthodoxy allows no sympathy for the Jewish state or its citizens. Jewish identification with the Left makes less sense with every passing day.

If only Israel were a brutal left-wing, anti-American dictatorship like Cuba, Venezuela, or Zimbabwe. Then, they could do whatever to the Palestinians and still enjoy fawning left-wing support.

Fine young idealists. They should form a brigade and go to the defense of Lebanon or Gaza. Their sacrifice would be wildly applauded by left - and even more by the right.
And in the fullness of time the world would say of them "they gave their lives so that others might murder"
Glad to see Koz helping the Dems to victory in November.
