Eleanor Clift Taken to Task for Denouncing Bush as Dictator
Newsweek's Eleanor Clift has always been strident, irresponsible and not particularly bright, so it's hardly surprising that she is following her beloved Democratic Party right over the edge of a cliff into an abyss of adolescent hyperbole.
NewsBusters has video of her spewing the following on the McLaughlin Group over the weekend:
He's the only one of those leaders who goes in there with a commanding popularity among his own people, because he is perceived to be an effective dictator. What we have in this country is a dictator who's ineffective.
She was referring to Russian strongman Vladimir Putin and our President Bush. I wouldn't sell life insurance to loud-mouthed gadflies like Clift if Bush really were a dictator.
Hats off to Canadian native Chrystia Freeland of the Financial Times for not taking this idiocy sitting down. She had to shout over the anarchic cacophony that characterizes McLaughlin's show, but she got her point across:
But he's not a dictator! I mean we can't use, no we can't use these terms so loosely.
Clift backtracked slightly by replacing "dictator" with "authoritarian President." But thankfully Freeland didn't let that go either.
While it might seem trivial to nitpick over the preposterous rhetoric that gushes out of nitwits like Clift, it is actually quite important to call moonbats on even their most petty lies. Liberalism is basically an assault on reality. They chip away at the real world one lie at a time, repeating the lies over and over again until people accept them and we find ourselves living in an alternative universe constructed entirely of propaganda, where President Bush is a dictator, Saddam never had WMD, global warming is real and caused by insufficient regulation, high gas prices are the oil industry's fault, Israel is the aggressor against put-upon freedom fighters, Islam is a "religion of peace," the lazy are "oppressed" by the industrious, etc.
Reality is worth fighting to preserve, even if it means climbing into the playpen to outshout imbeciles like Eleanor Clift.

Her fellow McLaughlin Group alum Pat Buchanan is also out there stalking the moonbat fringe, echoing David Duke, Cindy Sheehan, and Cynthia McKinney in criticizing the US's Zionist Occupied Government.
Perhaps this will make it up, Link: Pat Buchanan --- Total Moonbat
That Tel Aviv is maneuvering us to fight its wars is understandable. That Americans are ignorant of, or complicit in this, is deplorable.
As someone once said, to really appreciate a Pat Buchanan speech, you have to hear it in the original German.

Wow! Well put!

George W. Bush is a dictator. Ms Clift is the first of the news media to have enough guts to express the truth. She probably at this point should get a body guard. The Bush cabal loves killing of the people who criticize any member of their Satanic Cult.

Pat,
Please refer to the post above yours. You apparently embody all that is moonbattery. Thanks for offering yourself up as the perfect illustration.

Michael Moore made $100 Million on his anti-Bush propaganda movie.
Joe Wilson and Val Plame got a seven-figure book deal.
Kos gets pig fat payola from his democrat contacts.
George Soros just pumped up the seven-figure salaries at Air America.
George Clooney won an Academy Award.
That is one highly ineffective Satanic cabal.

I was just thinking about that. A truly dictatorial government would have no compunction about killing off all these people, or shipping them off to a prison labour camp of some sort. The very fact that dissent remains so easy to carry out in public is perhaps the single strongest piece of evidence we need that the US isn't a dictatorship. Hell, if Bush is a dictator then what does that make most western european countries?

Jane, you ignorant slut.

Now you know what school teachers have to put up with.
McLaughlin and the children sometimes embarrass me. Clift is the worst. She sounds like Shrillary.
