Dem Congressman Helped Code Pink Kook Crash al-Malaki Address
Code Pink militant Medea Benjamin managed to get some MSM face time last week when she interrupted Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Malaki's historic address to a joint session of Congress. Here she is getting tossed out:

Benjamin is a prominent radical whose views and tactics are extreme. She is credited with being "a chief organizing force behind the 1999 Seattle riots in which 50,000 protesters did millions of dollars worth of property damage in their effort to shut down meetings of the World Trade Organization" and has done everything in her power to undermine the American cause in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
Code Pink, which Benjamin cofounded and in which she plays a central role, may be her primary claim to infamy. As documented previously, this bevy of leftist harpies is known for raising funds for terrorists, trashing recruiting offices and taunting wounded soldiers.
You might wonder how a sociopath like Medea Benjamin was able to attend a joint session of Congress. Radio Blogger has the disturbing answer: she was given a ticket by a Congressman, Rep. Major Owens (D-NY). Owens' claim that he did not know she would make a spectacle of herself is hardly credible, considering her resume:
2005: Benjamin and three other moonbats showed up at a speech by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco. Their shouting and theatrics interrupted the speech until police had dragged them away.
2005: Benjamin and other Code Pink operatives obtained VIP access to President Bush's second inauguration. During his speech, they unfurled banners with leftist slogans.
2004: At the Republican National Convention in NYC, Benjamin had to be dragged out of Madison Square Garden for disrupting a speech by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
2004: At the Democratic National Convention in Boston, police tossed Benjamin out of the Fleet Center for unfurling another one her banners.
2002: Benjamin was able to disrupt testimony by Secretary of State Donald Rumsfeld in a Congressional committee room.
Needless to say, Owens was perfectly aware that Benjamin would disrupt al-Malaki's speech, just as Rep. Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) knew Cindy Sheehan would pull some kind of tasteless stunt when she got her into Bush's State of the Union in January. Letting Benjamin in was the equivalent of standing up during the speech and chucking rotten tomatoes at the Iraqi Prime Minister.
Democratic Congressmen have assisted Benjamin's activities before. When she and her supporters raised $600,000 to assist the terrorist insurgency in Fallujah, Rep. Henry Waxman (D-CA) reportedly wrote a letter to the American ambassador in Jordan to facilitate getting the aid through customs.
This is the sort of leadership we can look forward to if Democrats regain control of Congress.

Nah, the dems aren't this stupid. People like benjamin are a hand granade away from being prefixed with "militant". Credible or not, owens denounced it even if for his personal reputation. The majority of the public won't tolerate this type of behavior from an elected official. I went to see bush the day after he one of the presidential debates in 04. One of these kooks somehow got in and was stomping around like a soldier. She caught my eye because it reminded me of a nazi soldier marching. Well, that and the fact that she had a mullet. Lol.
