Supremes Strike Blow on Behalf of al Qaeda

In a shocking triumph of moonbattery over common sense, the Supreme Court has forbidden military trials for the foreign terrorists interned at Guantanamo Bay. Unless the ruling can be reversed through legislation, it will probably result in the terrorists — most if not all of whom regard it as their God-given duty to kill as many of us as they can — either being sent back to their home countries, or granted normal criminal trials as if they were American citizens caught sticking up liquor stores.

If they are sent back to their home countries, they will either be set free to resume their terrorist activities, or they will be incarcerated under conditions that will almost certainly be much less comfy than the accommodations at Club Gitmo — which should cause the liberal justices some concern if their primary motivation is the terrorists' well-being, as opposed to poking their own country in the eye.

Granting them normal criminal trials in the United States is unthinkable. It would be extravagantly expensive, would compromise critical intelligence, and would result in cartoonish O.J.-style spectacles that would make a mockery of the War on Terror by granting terrorists and their left-wing lawyers a soapbox from which to denounce Western Civilization.

Since the moonbats infesting our legal system all the way up to the top will not allow us to interrogate or incarcerate terrorists, the only option is to kill them on sight. After that's been prohibited, I suggest converting to Islam and declaring sharia. What else is left?

Justices Alito, Thomas, and Scalia were dissenting voices of reason. Chief Justice Roberts had to recuse himself. Moonbats Stevens, Kennedy, Bader Ginsburg, Breyer, and Souter voted to put the imaginary rights of foreign terrorists above American self-preservation.

In his dissent, Thomas wrote that this foolish decision would "sorely hamper the president's ability to confront and defeat a new and deadly enemy" and that the court's willingness "to second-guess the determination of the political branches that these conspirators must be brought to justice is both unprecedented and dangerous."

Comments Ret. Army Major General Robert Scales:

The American people and the Supreme Court and the rest of [the] people in the enlightened world ... have to decide for themselves, are we in a state of war or are we not in a state of war? The enemy is using our confusion about the conditions in the world today to their advantage and ultimately, we're going to end up with innocent dead in Europe, the United States and elsewhere in the world.

But the Supremes seem to regard themselves as safe, and as for the rest of us... I guess we'll just have to hope we're not riding on the next jet that gets flown into a skyscraper. The New York Times and Osama bin Laden must be delighted.

Are you aware that more than half the people held at Gitmo have been freed?

The big issue is whether or not we're holding innocent people along with the guilty at Gitmo.

This ruling will not free a single, guilty terrorist. It simply determines the type of trial they will have.

Locking up innocent people is not something the US should be proud of. We do that...and the terrorists have won.

This is why you cant take these people prisoner at all. You find them in the field of battle, you shoot them first - ask questions later.

If these towelhead assbags have to go on a trial Zacharias Massoui style that will be the real crime.

And all registed Dummycrats should have a tax surcharge to pay for these ridiculous trials - provided they ever happen. Maybe we will get lucky and all the Gitmo Assbags will commit suicide.

More Nuttiness from the Huffington Post:
Long story short, the Supremes have decided a foreigner who saws off people's heads for the Glory of Allah now has the same legal rights as OJ Simpson to game the system. It's a good thing they killed Zarqawi, otherwise, he'd have been tried by a braindead LA Jury and freed to look for "The Real Terrorists" at taxpayer expense.

In other news, more nuttiness for the Huffington Post.

You find them in the field of battle, you shoot them first - ask questions later.

Kind of funny that the left will fight harder for the rights of terrorist barbarians than they will for American soldiers falsely accused of "war crimes."

No, wait, it's not funny, it's sad and horrifying.

I have no faith in some members of the S.C. court as of today , so we should just turn these head removers that we have in the pen down in club gitmo give them a sword and let them cut all american,s head off.

I'm horrified at the SCOTUS ruling! However...

U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Jon Kyl (R-AZ) today issued the following statement on the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on the Hamdan case:
"We are disappointed with the Supreme Court’s decision. However, we believe the problems cited by the Court can and should be fixed.

"It is inappropriate to try terrorists in civilian courts. It threatens our national security and places the safety of jurors in danger. For those reasons and others, we believe terrorists should be tried before military commissions.

"In his opinion, Justice Breyer set forth the path to a solution of this problem. He wrote, ‘Nothing prevents the president from returning to Congress to seek the authority he believes necessary.’

"We intend to pursue legislation in the Senate granting the Executive Branch the authority to ensure that terrorists can be tried by competent military commissions. Working together, Congress and the administration can draft a fair, suitable, and constitutionally permissible tribunal statute."

What they need to do with these terrorists is play mindgames. Send them to Area 51. Dress up interogators as aliens and tell the terrorists they are now on another planet. Then have the interogator threaten to feed them to a tentacled monster with a big glowing eye in the center and gaping maw that spits out a charred corpse after it consumes its victims. Im sure SFX experts could build a rather nice one these days using unclaimed corpses to add to the realism. I remember seeing the monster in a sci-fi series back in the mid 70s as a child. That thing gave me nightmares for months. After a few months of this "therapy", the interogators can tell them the aliens are really running the US Goverment and if they tell anyone about it they will be taken again and fed to the monster; then dump them in Sahara Desert.
