Moonbats Suing to Ban Portrait of Jesus

Two "civil liberties" groups are expressing their devotion to liberty by suing to ban a picture of Jesus Christ that has hung in a West Virginia high school for over 30 years. Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the West Virginia American Civil Liberties Union filed suit under the usual absurd pretext that permitting anything that acknowledges our culture's 2,000-year-old Christian heritage constitutes imposing Christianity.

Sputtered Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United:

I frankly cannot understand why this school insists that it is doing nothing wrong.

Maybe the suit should include punitive damages to get it across to these nonconformists that there is but one commandment they have to follow, now that progressives run our courts: Thou shalt have no gods before totalitarian moonbattery.

On a tip from The Right Reverend Rabbi Judah.

Imagine allowing this to hang right on the wall where people might see it.

Jesus is not caucasian, as he is clearly portrayed in that picture. I think that's what annoys me most about this whole thing.

Seeing as how no one actually knows what Jesus looked like, it would be rather difficult to prove that this picture is Jesus. That would be a fun argument.

"Actually, your honor, it's just a picture of some bearded guy hanging on the wall. If the ACLU and AU choose to infer his identity, that's their problem."

Ooh, I know, they can hang some other pictures around it, pictures of Buddha, Hindu gods, pagan gods, and, of course, Muhammad. Oh man, I would LOVE to see that. The islamofascists would go NUTS!

The "Reverend" Barry Lynn is a moonbat of the highest order.

I RECOGNIZE that picture - my MOM had one!!!!

Seriously, I think they should just offer equal access for any simular-sized portraits of "moral-leaders" that folks want to donate. The really sweet thing is that muslims would then be left out - AND IT'S THEIR OWN DAMN FAULT!!!

Here's a suggestion: Why not tell everybody its a picture of Rabbi Yeshua Ben Joseph? See if anybody catches on.
