Approval of Homosexual Behavior Is Now Mandatory

A warning to anyone who is not on board with the militant gay agenda: lay very low or suffer the consequences. John Leo drives home this point on Townhall.com by citing the example that has been made of Robert Smith, a member of the Washington Metro transit authority board who was fired by Maryland Governor Robert Ehrlich for publicly voicing this forbidden opinion:

Homosexual behavior, in my view, is deviant.

This thought crime, committed on a talk show panel devoted to gay "marriage," was denounced by the Republican Ehrlich as "highly inappropriate, insensitive and unacceptable."

Since no reasonable person could dispute that homosexuality is deviant, Smith's crime consists of saying something that the gay lobby would rather people didn't hear. The Supreme Court has ruled that public employees and appointees have a First Amendment right to speak out on matters of public concern. But no one's going to let a piece of paper written by dead white guys get in the way of imposing the progressive agenda.

Smith isn't the first to get slapped for stepping out of line on the gay issue. As is usually the case when it comes to moonbattery, Europe and Canada are out ahead of the USA, even if we are catching up all too fast.

British writer on children's rights Lynette Burrows was investigated by Scotland Yard for daring to disapprove of homosexuals adopting little boys and for asking the highly sensible question, "Would you give a small girl to two (heterosexual) men?"

Also in Britain, police investigated Anglican Bishop Peter Forster for saying, "Some people who are primarily homosexual can reorientate themselves."

In Canada, it's gone even farther. A guy who ran an ad in a Saskatchewan newspaper listing biblical citations against homosexuality was ordered to pay $1,500 apiece to some gays who were offended. He was determined to have committed a human rights offense by quoting the Bible.

Quite apart from the highly destructive consequences of homosexuality in terms of health and society, the idea that merely disapproving of it is a punishable thought crime should terrify anyone who understands the importance of free expression.

People can think anything they want, but my Dad always said "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all." I understand freedom of speech, but people do get offended. This isn't just a gay issue! There are many hurtful things said every day, and if you want to say them in private go ahead. If you want to say them in public~ PAY THE FINE!

So no "reasonable" person can dispute that homosexuality is deviant? Your own statement shows your flawed logic. As long as you see anyone pro gay as unreasonable, you win. Bravo.
I happen to agree that Mr. Smith should not have been fired for his beliefs, but since I am gay, I guess that is unreasonable and thus, justice was served.

Oh Mr. Van Helsing, you're so masculine and powerful. I want to worship you. We can both be Nazis, like in the movies, and wear jack boots and swaztikas & have very suspiciously dyed blonde hair and swear allegiance to the Fuhrer, Mr. Bush

So, a guy gets fired for criticizing homosexuality, and Van Helsing is the Nazi?

Posted by: Steve at June 19, 2006 3:27 PM

his comment about it being deviant behavior is indisputable. deviant....as in a deviation from the norm. so to the 2nd poster, unless you believe homosexualty to be the norm, the logic behind that statement is in no way flawed.

Ah, so on Sheri's world, the First Amendment reads "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech, unless someone's feelings might get hurt, in which case, shut up."

And John thinks people should get lose their jobs for not agreeing with him.

Tolerance, what a concept.

Gay people do have a stereotype of being flighty, overly emotional, and insecure. Intolerance of criticism is symptomatic of someone who is flighty, over-emotional, and insecure. Exhibit A: Andrew Sullivan.

V the K apparently does not understand sarcasm. NO I do not believe that he should have lost his job (as I stated). I am very much for people to have their opinions, but Van Helsing seems to think my opinion is not valid before I even give it.
As for annonymous, the "Norm" used to be that women couldn't vote, blacks were property, smoking was good for you. Society changes and let God do the judging.

I was fired at one job not agreeing with the homosexual lifestyle, although I never came right out and said it. The manager was ultra-sensitive (she being lesbian). She'd just had a traumatic breakup with her lover of 7 years, so she was in no mood for someone who was studying the whole "lifestyle", asking questions and making light of it. Her crew had either been cowed throughout the years to shut-up or they were openly supportive of the "culture". I myself have bisexual tendencies never acted on, but I KNOW from history, personal and otherwise that homosexuality, like adultery, alcoholism etc. is "deviant" having both environmental and spiritual roots.

Homosexuals won't face up to their problem. They're deeply delusional. Part of their gig is to get heteros to sympathesize with them and to appeal to societal "guilt" over "persecuting" these poor, loving innocents (as queers often portray themselves). Lots of gullible spiritually ignorant heteros go right along with it. It's a game, and as a society and world we're losing this battle. Full acceptance of homosexuality spells doom and has always preceded a society's annihilation.

As for "norms", why the hell would anyone go by what society dictates? Society changes at the whim of men. Homosexuality, like all sin never changes its stripes. BTW. God has already judged that it's a sin. The problem is people who won't accept that judgment, which is most of mankind and apparently many who posted here.

Just continue in your delusion. I won't stop you nor will God. At least not for the time being. When things have played themselves out, He'll have His day.

I just don't think the word "deviant" is perjorative. My religious views are "deviant" when considered against mainstream Christianity. I'm a religious deviant. Big Whoop! My son pours ranch dressing on everything. He's a ranch dressing deviant. BFD.

Gay people like every other victim group in the world, need to stop whining like hypersensitive children at every tiny "offense" if they ever want to earn any respect.

'As for annonymous, the "Norm" used to be that women couldn't vote, blacks were property, smoking was good for you. Society changes and let God do the judging.'......

John- Yeah, why not show your genitals to lil kids too(smirk)....make the Norm.

Fags need to stay in the closet, nobody really wants to look at you or your ilk. And thats exactly what makes you mad. Norm-al folk put you guys on the dummy.

Ha! What will happen when fat, people like myself demand censorship and fines everytime something is said we find offensive?

Whom should I sue over the public use of terms like "left-handed compliment," or "two left feet?"

Where do I go to have terms like "sinister" and "gauche" - bot of which derive for "left-handed" banned from school text books?

In the medical field faggots are considered abnormal people, I wonder if the one who jump out of the 44th story window did this stunk after she attended a faggot get togather, well she was a democrat so she did a good thing by jumping out the window we need a lot more of them to do that, because that would make america safer.
