What the Illegal Alien Movement Wants
Lou Dobbs is right to be annoyed at the way the MSM portrayed yesterday's demonstrations and boycotts in support of illegal aliens as being about immigration.
Our nation of immigrants has nothing against immigration. Invasion is not immigration.
Nor is the issue race — that's a card the Left has played several times too many.
It was no coincidence that the actions were planned for May 1, the traditional communist holiday. But that doesn't mean they had anything to do with helping the working class. As Dobbs observes:
In fact, a meat-packing job paid $19 an hour in 1980, but today that same job pays closer to $9 an hour, according to the Labor Department. That's entirely consistent with what we've been reporting — that illegal aliens depress wages for U.S. workers by as much as $200 billion a year in addition to placing a tremendous burden on hospitals, schools and other social services.
What then do the organizers want? Juan Jose Gutierrez, both director of Latino Movement USA and a representative of ANSWER, offers a clue. Dobbs quotes him:
The time has come...where we need to stand up and make a statement. We need to do what the American people did when they pulled away from the British crown. And I am sure that back in those days many people were concerned that was radical action.
In other words, they want a revolution — but not the kind where autocracy is overthrown in favor of freedom. We already have freedom; ANSWER is after the opposite.
They are after power — the kind only socialist dictators like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, Saddam, and Castro can wield. But they have an obstacle: America, the light that has been pushing back the darkness of totalitarianism throughout the world.
The Mexican invasion — unless it is stopped and the Mexicans who remain in the country are assimilated — will eventually tear America apart, just as surely as uncontrolled immigration from Islamic countries is causing France to disintegrate. As far as ANSWER is concerned, that's the whole point.

If the exploited illegal aliens realized how badly they were being exploited by the Socialists and Big Labor Unions on this issue, they all would have gone to work yesterday.
If A.N.S.W.E.R. and the other socialists really cared about human rights, they would have been holding these marches in Mexico where a REAL revolution is in dire need.

surely May 1st is more traditionally a pagan holiday - or is that just in places where the population aren't 'scared' of communism

I want Adriana Lima. I will never have Adriana Lima.
Mexicans maybe uneduacated but I doubt they are fools enough to believe the hype of Wannabe Commies like those in ANSWER. If they are God help us.
