Patrick Kennedy: Will McKinney Weigh In?
Thomas Lifson asks an interesting question at American Thinker: Will Cynthia McKinney, who has been in hot water for assaulting a U.S. Capitol Police officer, and who tried to make a racial issue out of it, be able to keep her prodigious mouth shut regarding the favoritism shown toward the ultimate privileged white boy Patrick Kennedy?
As you might have heard, Rep. Patrick Kennedy (D-RI), the apple that fell all too close to the tree, crashed his car while apparently falling-down drunk early yesterday morning. But Capitol Police supervisors came to his rescue, seeing that he didn't get a breathalyzer test in an attempt to provide him with plausible deniability.
This is hardly the first strike for the Son of Senator Pumpkinhead. As Lifson notes:
Kennedy's past includes several troubling episodes, starting with his treatment in 1986 for cocaine use. More recently, a charter company accused him of causing $28,000 in damage to a rented yacht in 2000. That same year, he acknowledged that he was "on a lot of different medications for, among other things, depression," and was accused of shoving an airport security guard at Los Angeles International Airport when she tried to make him check his bag. He was in a traffic incident last month in his home district, according to Boston Herald columnist Howie Carr, who reported that the mishap occurred as Kennedy was hurrying into the parking lot of a pharmacy in Portsmouth, R.I.
Naturally if you or I behaved like Patrick Kennedy, we would be sitting not in Congress but in jail. But that's privilege for you.
McKinney is also fond of privilege. If she starts embarrassing her fellow Dems by screeching for equal treatment, she will mean, as Lifson puts it, "equal immunity from the laws which govern the rest of us."
The phony party-of-the-people pose adopted by Democrats will look all the more ridiculous if Republicans follow Lifson's suggestion and demand hearings on Capitol Police handling of the latest Kennedy incident.

Stick around long enough and you'll hear his story change again. First "Patches" denies alcohol as being the cause of the accident...even though he was spotted drinking at the Hawk & Dove earlier in the evening. Then it was prescription drugs. Now he doesn't remember a flippin' thing! BUT...he's entering rehab for addiction to pain killers anyway. Ambien is a sleeping aid and Phenergan is an anti-nausea drug...neither of these are pain killers.
Incidentally, he told reporters he will seek re-election in November! Who wants to bet the idiots in Rhode Island re-elect him?

If the name wasn't "Kennedy", and there was an "R" instead of a "D" in front of his name, you can bet Cynthia would be very loud about racist cops. Probably She's been told by "others" to put a sock in it. I imagine her tongue is bleeding.

The sick worship of the Kennedy's is in play as well. They never even gave Robert a test to see if he was drunk. That surprised me that they did not follow procedure but then againi being a Kennedy and a DemocRAT the double standard is always in play. UGH! GRRRRRR!!
Remember how the media could not get enough of telling us about Cheney and at the same time Gore had spewed his treasonous remarks in Saudi Arabia during the same few days. But nothing about Gore, nope....because he is a DemocRat.
