Murderer Demands Free Sex Change
It seems not a day goes by that we don't discover more excellent reasons for the time-honored custom of promptly hanging convicted killers.
Convicted murderer Robert Kosilek is demanding that taxpayers finance a sex change operation, on the grounds that not giving him one would constitute cruel and unusual punishment. The put-upon strangler's psychiatrist testified yesterday that Kosilek would do the world the favor of killing himself if he is not surgically assisted in his quest to become a woman.
Instead of the rope killers were once treated to, Kosilek has been receiving psychotherapy, female hormone treatments, and laser hair removal, courtesy of silently suffering taxpayers. In an earlier suit, Kosilek got a judge to rule that society owes him free treatment for "gender identity disorder." But the ruling stopped short of forcing the state to pay for a sex change operation, so with nothing better to do, Kosilek is suing some more.
The idea is to convince the same judge, U.S. District Judge Mark Wolf, that the sex change surgery is "medically necessary." Given that the farce is playing out in Massachusetts, this should be a piece of cake for Kosilek's lawyer Frances Cohen, who has been publicly demanding "that gender identity disorder be treated like any other medical condition."
Meanwhile Kosilek's wife Cheryl, whom he strangled in 1990, continues to be dead.

So many thoughts. My initial reaction was, "In the case of a sex -offender, I wouldn't mind paying for at least one part of the sex change procedure."
Then, I read this: "gender identity disorder be treated like any other medical condition."
Are there a lot of psychological disorders that are treated with genital mutilation?

Reminds me of the episode of Sealab 2021 where Captain Murphy declares "Martian Law". Murphy appoints Marco as a Martian Knight and gives him a large club. Marco then crushed the nuts of Stormy. Stormy asks if he can be a knight too. Murphy says yes. Stormy say " You, you'd take a eunuch, like me ..."

V, there's been a rash of people with psychological problems "self medicating" by chopping their own bits off. Perhaps they're on to something...
