Moonbat Jack Celebrates Memorial Day
Moonbat Jack Murtha celebrated this Memorial Day weekend by appearing on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," where he continued to ride his new pony — alleged American atrocities at Haditha — back into the MSM limelight.
According to Murtha, the November 19 incident was not a matter of collateral damage. Serving as prosecutor, judge, and jury, Murtha has determined that the as-yet uncharged Marines are guilty of killing innocent civilians "in cold blood."
In case you missed out on Moonbat Jack's latest antics, you can see the video at Expose the Left. Vets are advised to avoid the part where Newsweek's "rock-solid patriot" raves:
An IED exploded, it killed one Marine. And then a taxi drives up. When the taxi comes up, there's four or five people in it, and they shoot those four or five people — unarmed! And then they go on a rampage throughout the houses and kill people.
"They" in this story are American troops. Their friend Murtha then goes on to spread the rumor that "One woman... was bending over a child pleading for mercy and they shot her in cold blood."
How thoughtful of Moonbat Jack to provide al Qaeda with such potent recruiting propaganda. But lest you get the idea that Rep. Murtha is lowlife who would publicly knife the troops in the back in exchange for fawning attention from the liberal media, he is quick to point out that "There's nobody done more for the troops than I have."
Atrocities occur in every war, and if an atrocity occurred at Haditha, it should be punished. But it should not be used as propaganda to undermine the war effort, particularly when the facts of the incident have not even been determined.
Congrats, Jack. Instead of the trip before a firing squad your despicable behavior would have earned you in WWII, you've gotten yourself an extension on your 15 minutes of fame — or rather, infamy.

If you listen to the whole interview, you'll find out that Murtha was taking up for the Marines in Haditha.
