Mad Howie Versus the Chocolate City Kid
While not a fan of the clown who has been reelected Mayor of New Orleans after announcing that God wants the city to stay chocolate (i.e., majority black), I have to congratulate anyone who manages to tweak the beak of Howard "Dr. Demento" Dean, Chairman of the Democratic National Committee. Drudge is reporting that Dean's DNC secretly placed political operatives in the Big Easy to sabotage Nagin's reelection efforts. A national effort by Democrats resulted in Nagin's opponent Mitch Landrieu outraising him $3.3 million to $541,980.
Apparently even the Democratic Party is capable of embarrassment. But race seems to trump even money in some cities, so Nagin isn't going away. With the Democratic establishment's knives sticking out of his back, he may not go out of his way to be nice in return. Already he's been praising President Bush. If the Dems aren't careful, they could find out that blacks don't necessarily have to support their party.

It's all about the LA Senate seat in 2008, currently held by Mary Landrieu and the Democrats.
