Arizona Legislature Tries Once Again
At least Arizona's legislature has been trying to do something to defend the voters they represent from foreign invasion, in the absence of responsible leadership in Washington. Its latest attempt is modest, but certainly a step in the right direction. Provisions would include:
- Application of trespassing law to illegals, so that it would actually be illegal to be illegal.
- $160 million to help authorities resist the invasion.
- Fines for businesses that refuse to stop employing illegals even after warnings.
- Training in immigration law enforcement for local police.
- Requirement that businesses fire employees with invalid Social Security numbers.
- No more in-state tuition for people who don't even belong in this country.
The trespassing law could only be enforced when invaders had been approached for some other offense, like driving recklessly while drunk and without a license, a popular activity among illegal aliens. First offenses would only be a misdemeanor. The bill is too little too late, but at least represents an effort.
It passed the House 33-22 and the Senate 16-9. However, the chances of it passing Governor Janet "Nappy the Troll" Napolitano are nil. Every attempt to defend Arizona from foreign incursion meets with Nappy's vetoes. Let's hope Arizona voters remember this when she comes up for reelection this fall.
