ACLU Does Right by the Count on Mount Soledad
Conservatives stay on course by asking themselves, "What would Ronald Reagan do?" Likewise, moonbats stick to the left-hand path by asking, "What would Count Dracula do?" The Count would be proud of the ACLU, which has managed to force San Diego to remove the mountaintop cross marking a veterans memorial at Mount Soledad.
A judge's ruling that the cross must be removed within 90 days is the result of a 17-year campaign by militant moonbats. As usual, their use of government to suppress Christianity was absurdly justified as a matter of separating church and state.
In a recent ballot initiative, San Diego's voters chose overwhelmingly to keep the cross in its place. But with rule by litigation, the will of voters is at worst a minor inconvenience to repressive leftists like the ACLU.
There has been a cross on Mount Soledad since 1913. The current 29-foot cross has stood since 1954. No doubt Dracula would be glad to see the last of it.

And yet, the left-wing still claims that the 'War on Christianity' is just a figment of the right-wing imagination.

Good grief. The voters ask to keep it, but we have to get rid of it because even though the voters (who, note to self, are apparently not "the state" as one might think in a Republic) want it, the ACLU does not?
I'm going back into my cave now. The barking and flapping out here is too loud for me at the moment.

I wonder if they would fight so hard to remove an Islamic crescent from public lands? Just askin'.
