Tiger Woods: A Hero Falls

Are there no heroes left? His mastery of golf and classy demeanor have earned Tiger Woods millions of fans and made him an excellent role model — until he said this:

I was so in control from tee to green, the best I've played for years... But as soon as I got on the green I was a spaz.

Little did Tiger know that when he said "spaz," he was callously insulting people who suffer from cerebral palsy, according to Nancy Salandra of the disability rights organization ADAPT, who chides:

It's part of the language now, like retard, but it doesn't make it right.

Mr. Woods, have you no shame?
