The Mexican Model

J. Michael Waller, the Center for Security Policy's Vice President for Information Operations, has made some interesting observations on how the Mexican constitution treats foreign residents, workers, and naturalized citizens.

In summary:

  • Immigrants and foreign visitors are banned from public political discourse.
  • Immigrants and foreigners are denied certain basic property rights.
  • Immigrants are denied equal employment rights.
  • Immigrants and naturalized citizens will never be treated as real Mexican citizens.
  • Immigrants and naturalized citizens are not to be trusted in public service.
  • Immigrants and naturalized citizens may never become members of the clergy.
  • Private citizens may make citizen's arrests of lawbreakers (i.e., illegal immigrants) and hand them to the authorities.
  • Immigrants may be expelled from Mexico for any reason and without due process.

Mexican politicians seem to feel they have a right to dictate to the USA how we should handle immigration. It might shut them up if we threaten to follow their model.

Nothing surprises me about how the Mex government treats foreigners. Their corruption is well-known and our government just turns a blind eye and expects us to pay the bill.

Here's a suggestion: After tasting the freedom experienced for years in the U.S., we should send back the millions of illegals so that they can revolt against the Mex government and force THEIR government to abide by law, order, justice and democracy. Nothing ever gets accomplished by outsiders. Revolution must begin from within.

The Mexicans have the right approach to protecting National identity, jobs and opportunities. They are rather harsh, but perhaps you have to be. Look at the demonstrations and riots that result when the gentle and open Policy applies. The UK and most of Europe ought to learn from Mexico's example sharpish. France is on the way to oblivion and the rest of us are not far behind.
