NBC's NASCAR Sting Flops
NBC's scheme to create a racial incident at a NASCAR race has fizzled. The idea was to let loose some Middle Eastern-looking people dressed up like Arabs at a race, then secretly film as the bigoted gap-toothed Neanderthals MSM elitists regard normal Americans to be act rudely toward them.
According to NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston, an NBC crew was on site at last Sunday's race in Martinsville, Virginia; they "walked around and no one bothered them." How disappointing for the execs at NBC.
As Poston observed:
Any legitimate journalist in America should be embarrassed by this stunt. The obvious intent by NBC was to evoke reaction.
NBC admitted as much in a statement:
We were intrigued by the results of a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll and other articles regarding increasing anti-Muslim sentiments in the United States.
If planting Arabs at NASCAR races doesn't evoke the hostility they're searching for, news-stagers might follow the advice of a Michelle Malkin reader, and try wearing NBC shirts.

I was just talking to my brother-in-law the other day (big NASCAR fan) about how there are no races on Easter or Mother's Day, and how at least one sport still has its priorities straight. Would it be possible that fans are also God-fearing, respectable people with manners?

Eric, the word "creation" implies creativity. More like News by Compilation. Or perhaps Conflation.
I know a few nascar fans through this here interweb thingy and they've always struck me as polite, intelligent and more likely to befriend foreigners than your average NBC newsie - because, unlike the journalists, who are always looking for an angle, these people are sincere when they want to get to know you better.

This just shows how dumb NBC is. Nascar fans are there for the race (cars that is). A bit of stereotyping on NBC's part I guess. If it was not so pathetic it might be funny.

Whats next is NBC (NO BODY CARES) going to try next? Sending white NASCAR fans to a Black Panther Party meeting. A dozen Hasidic Jews into a Mosque or a KKK rally? Send George Bush into a NAACP meeting?
