Dead Man Running
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin ought to be able to outwit at least one of his challengers in this month's election — given that candidate Ernie K-Doe has been dead for five years.
Despite his poor health, the deceased rhythm-and-blues singer is "the only one qualified" according to his widow Antoinette K-Doe.
If he's elected, the post of Mayor will actually be a step down for K-Doe, who used to refer to himself as the "Emperor of the World."
