Too Busy Media-Whoring to See to Her Son's Grave

Considering the fame, fortune and media adulation Cindy Sheehan has been able to extract from the honorable death of her son Casey, you would think she would show the poor guy a little gratitude. It might be too much to ask her to stop spitting on everything he died to defend, or even to stop glorifying the terrorists who killed him. But after two years, couldn't she at least give him a headstone?

After all, she was given a $250,000 payout when he died. Taking a headstone out of that would leave plenty of change. But then, she wouldn't even have to pay for the headstone; the Department of Veteran Affairs would give her one for free.

Here's the plot of grass under which Casey Sheehan spins each time his mother exploits his death to attack our country:

The picture comes via Steve Janke, who points out the following:

There is no monument or marker for Casey. Even as Cindy Sheehan poses for the press in front of the boots and the cross with Casey's name and picture, the rest of his family is forced to gather around a bare patch of lawn. All around them the dead are commemorated in silent dignity, their names and dates immortalized in granite or marble. Those monuments serve to accentuate the bareness of Casey's resting place.

The only memorial Casey Sheehan gets is his mother's disgusting behavior.

What it could very well be is a difference of opinion, between her and her estranged husband. But to concede the point, a marker is not too much to ask for.

I would take this as further proof that the She-Hag's motives do not include honoring the life, achievments and deeds of her son. She is using him as a tool, just as the Left is using the She-Hag as a tool. She is just too schtoopid to know it and the Left is too thoroughly evil and sinister to admit it.

Right junior and butt-monkey?

She might explain it thusly: "If I put a headstone on my son`s grave some right wing nut case would probably steal it as memmento of my famousosity."

Hell, she probably doesnt even know where he`s buried.

She Hag? :)))

Captions for the picture: 1. "My dogs are so tired--from all that tap-dancing." 2. "Man, that felt good. I just had to pee so bad." Anyone..anyone...

I blogged about this as well, and even suggested maybe a few of us could get together and get a stone for Casey.

That's when it came out that Sheehag herself was the one stopping a proper memorial from being erected.

It's become evident that Sheehag's real purpose is not to grieve the death of her son or of other mothers, but to punish those who have supported the war ...

including her son.

What a fucking bitch.

As a general comment, the left and MSM pick some strange hills to promote and defend. Sheehan, Bennish, Nagin, Blanco, Jimah Carter...etc are just a few. These are vacant people supported by vacant organizations on the left and the MSM. They can't discuss the issues, just try to make heroes out of truly despicable individuals.

Good post but your numbers are off on the SGLI pay out. That policy was increased from $250K to $400K in 2005 and a retroactive increase was extended for personnel that died as far back as October 2001. Here's how it works for retroactive cases:

The Department of Defense (DoD) will pay a special death gratuity for deaths that occurred under specific conditions on or after October 7, 2001 and prior to September 1, 2005. This special gratuity will total $238,000 and will include:

(1) A $150,000 SGLI payment (the difference between the old $250,000 SGLI coverage amount and the current $400,000 SGLI coverage amount) AND,
(2) An $88,000 DoD death gratuity payment (the difference between the old $12,420 DoD death gratuity and the current $100,000 death gratuity.)

The Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act for Defense, the Global War on Terror and Tsunami Relief Act 2005 (Public Law 109-13) increased the immediate cash payment from $12,420 to $100,000 for survivors of those whose death is as a result of hostile actions and occurred in a designated combat operation or combat zone or while training for combat or performing hazardous duty.

As for Mommy Dearest's cut of the $500K, I have no idea if her son left it all for her or if he had the pay out split with others, such as his father. Its always tragic when you lose a loved one and no amount of money can make it better but picking at an open wound and demanding us all to watch you do it is repulsive.

I remember the revulsion I felt in 1993 at the images from Mogadishu of the body of an American soldier being dragged through the streets on the end of a rope. Now I have a mental image of Cindy Sheehan dragging her own son's corpse through any street where her welcome is not yet worn out, across every headline she can muster, and across the world's stage, all in her quest for attention. She is the lowest of the low; a grave robber; a cannibal that enjoys its meal most in the public eye.

It will get worse, for judging by some of her comments in the link you provided; she's only just getting started.
