Today Show Finds Proof of Global Warming

Posted by Dave Blount at March 30, 2006 7:03 PM

Gene Shalit of the Today Show's "Critic's Corner" has come up with new evidence that global warming is more than a liberal superstition: the animated children's movie Ice Age: The Meltdown.

Here's Shalit making his case, via Media Research Center:

Think global warming isn't real? Ask Manny the Mammoth, Diego the Tiger or Sid the Sloth. They first met in the animated hit Ice Age and they formed an unlikely herd. Now in Ice Age: The Meltdown they're fleeing floods of melting ice and the results are joyous. ... The herd's 88 happy minutes will melt away your out-of-theater cares while attesting that global warming is no snow job.

If the propagandizing sticks, 12 years from now the movie's target audience will be in a position to vote Democratic in order to spare sloths and wooly mammoths from the effects of industrial civilization. Hold on Manny the Mammoth. As Hanoi John Kerry would say, help is on the way.
