Moonbats Revise Nursery Rhymes
Here's one to file under You Can't Make This Stuff Up.
Times Online reports that traditional nursery rhymes have been evaluated for political correctness and found wanting. Accordingly, revisions have been made.
In Oxfordshire, toddlers have stopped being taught to sing "Baa baa, black sheep" in favor of "Baa baa, rainbow sheep."
"This is fairly standard across nurseries," explains educrat Stuart Chamberlain. "We are following stringent equal opportunities rules. No one should feel pointed out because of their race, gender or anything else."
Also falling victim to the hunt for political incorrectness are Humpty Dumpty (its ending was changed) and Snow White and the Seven Dwarves (the dwarves got dropped from the title).
Baa Baa Black Sheep, which has been around since 1744, has been targeted by British moonbats before. The Birmingham City Council tried to ban it in 2000, and in 2005, an Aberdeen nursery school changed the lyrics to "Baa baa, happy sheep."

Why is a black sheep politically incorrect? What's wrong with a sheep being black? Are black PEOPLE politically incorrect? Are they ASHAMED of being black? Should this black sheep be ASHAMED of being black?
The nursery rhyme doesn't say "Baa baa evil black sheep", it just refers to the sheep being black, and there ARE black sheep...what's wrong that?
If anything, I would think the moonbats would worry more about one of the other lines: "one fore my MASTER, one for my dame...."
Sounds like it's ripe for moonbat pickings to me.

Black wool was highly prized at the time the rhyme was created, as it could be washed and woven in to fine black clothing that wouldn't fade. Black dye wasn't particularly expensive but it tended to run and go grey very quickly. So, we ask the sheep if he has some of his valuable wool. Perhaps this is considered to be exploiting a minority.

Mary had a little lamb, his fleece was WHITE as snow. That should drive these nuts crazy. Or will they pass it off as a Planned Parenthood lesson. She should not have missed her appointment at the abortion clinic.

I guess now Hollyweird is going to go back and re-edit the old TV series "Black Sheep Squadron" especially after last months news that Pappy Boyingtons alma mater has students opposed to a statue honoring him for his heroism in WW II. How far away can the remake as a feature film be, called "Rainbow Sheep Squadron" led by a historically revised Boyington as the first gay Marine pilot.
