Dems Ready to Shoot Themselves in the Foot on Immigration
Some Democrats are getting excited about the possibility (albeit remote) that Republicans will actually take some responsibility and deal with the illegal immigration crisis before it causes potentially permanent damage to the country, and that it will hurt them with Hispanic voters.
As for the Dems taking any responsibility were they to regain power, forget about it. Senator Chuck "The Schmuck" Schumer (D-NY) crows that his party will "show Hispanics who their real friends are."
But they had better be careful about showing Americans who are in this country legally who their real friends aren't. As even the NY Times admits:
Polls show large majorities of the public both support tighter borders as a matter of national security, and oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants. Many working-class Democrats resent what they see as a continuing influx of cheap labor.
Defending our country will be a winning issue for Republicans, if they can just show a little nerve.

My favorite part is that they are actually damning in their words and actions all OTHER Hispanic groups in the US as well as all other non-Anglos here. La Raza doesn't exactly welcome other "browns" (a term I find rather distasteful anyway).
All the better for Tancredo, IMHO.

That is the whole thing, these pieces of filth walk around as if they are entitled to whatever they see because they are "La Raza." And they have penty of groups that have "La Raza" in them that get support from Wal-Mart even. Funny thing is, you never see Wal-Mart supporting your local Ku Klux Klan yet that is a group based on race. Nobody seems all to upset over "La Raza" but they'd pitch a serious coniption fit over a KKK group and stores like wal mart would be boycotted for doing such. So much for its commitment to the local community. Looks like they are only committed to cheap labor, China and Mexico.
