Bill Maher and Richard Belzer Insult American Troops

If you start at the bottom of the barrel and scrape your way downward for awhile, eventually you will come to Bill Maher and his HBO program Real Time, a show devoted to wallowing in the vileness that festers at the black inner heart of moonbattery. Maher's ambush of the brother of a 9/11 victim will live in infamy. His latest: teaming up with the equally despicable actor/comedian Richard Belzer to insult American troops.

To the horror of fellow guest Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL), whose stepson is a Marine officer, Belzer proclaimed that US troops are unqualified to have opinions on the war they are fighting with terrorists in Iraq, because "they don't read twenty newspapers a day."

Maher helpfully clarified by implying that people in the military are mentally unfit for higher employment; Belzer concurred.

When Ros-Lehtinen indicated that Belzer had no clue what he was talking about, his response was so vulgar and hysterical that even Maher realized he was over the line.

Check out the video.

Presumably Rep. Ros-Lehtinen took a long shower afterward.

Meanwhile:

"Actor Charlie Sheen has joined a growing army of other highly credible public figures in questioning the official story of 9/11 and calling for a new independent investigation of the attack and the circumstances surrounding it."
He cites the usual 9/11 black-helicopter malarkey.

...and he would wonder why people consider hollywood to be arrogant and out of touch.

It amuses me when actors consider themselves to be 'educated" and knowledgeable concerning ANYTHING much less world events, and then turn around to accuse military personnel of mental deficiencies. It's true that many military folk are not particularly educated, are young and impressionable (yeah, so are COLLEGE students who are brainwashed by socialist professors, btw). Actors are about the most gullible, moronic, clueless big mouths on the earth. And Belzer is nothing more than a waste of protoplasm...the video proves this fact once again.

But what about the fact that over 90% of the returned Iraq vets, who've actually suffered tour after unending tour of duty there, do not support Bush or the occupation of Iraq? Do you think that they're just pissed that he wouldn't provide them with basics like body armor and gave them sewer water to drink? Or, are those dudes just saying that because Cindy Sheehan TOLD them to?

You tell 'em that. I want to get a piece of THAT action!

BTW, how come personalities formerly supportive of the occupation don't seem to have much to say for themselves, these days?

Posted by: moonbat supreme at March 21, 2006 7:38 AM

Ridiculous. Do you honestly believe our troops honestly would carry out massacres against Iraqi civilians, like in Haditha this past November, if the private contractors who are answerable to no one weren't holding a gun to THEIR heads and forcing them to do it?

Put as many magnets on your minivans as you want, but they'll NEVER be on your side again, after being treated like that.

The re-elistment rate of Iraq War veterans is at an all-time high. Go smoke some more crack, moonbat...

Posted by: nikko at March 21, 2006 10:10 AM

Untrue.

You cannot consider a clause that keeps service members in theater past their original commitment to be reenlistment, especially since their families back home have been evicted from their homes, or foreclosed, their families are scattered, and they have few choices.

And, nikko, to quote Bill O'Reilly, "Why don't YOU put that pipe down, and get MY pipe up?"

BTW,, Moonbat Supreme is none other than a previous poster/troll AKA hashfanatic.

Does that mean everyone is going to start posting "pass the bong" again? LOL

BTW Conservatives smoke the reefer too (Or at least thats what I am told).

Is this another one of those dreadful scenarios where those vicious old liberals only want to talk about the YUCKY aspects of the war (you know, murder, chaos, starvation, torture, etc.) and nobody really wants to look at all the GREAT stuff we've done for the people of Iraq?

I love Osama bin Laden. I preen the falafel out of his beard. I made love to his camel on videotape because it pleased him (bin Laden, not the camel).

No blood for oil...but for KY jelly is acceptable.

That explains soooo much. Thanks for the info. I was beginning to wonder, especially since his email address sounded so damned familiar.

So what's wrong with joining the Army if you can't get a job? It shows initiative. What are those 18-19 year olds supposed to do if they're unemployed and not in college? Live with Mom? Sit on their fat asses, eat Cheetoes, and wait for the next check to come in? We have enough people doing that already. Any young person who signs up today knows he's not taking the easy way out.

Then how does that explain that over ninety percent of the troops think we should get out post haste (it breaks down as thirty-odd percent think immediately, the remainder split between six months and a year max)?

Another thing that has to be remembered about this is the vast majority of our guys are total patriots who would never want to leave their buddies in the lurch, which is they only reason they don't make waves.

Another reason is that they know they will be court-martialed immediately if they speak out, and derided at home.....

Phil, if it wouldn't have been for a completely neocon0controlled press and the fact that the Republicans will NEVER allow any scenes of flag-draped coffins on the nightly news like when we had a freer media atmosphere, with less censorship, during Vietnam, they wouldn't have had ANY volunteers.

The military sucks. Really, they do...I've got a library of gay p0rn movies that prove it.

Posted by: moonbat supreme at March 23, 2006 8:22 AM

Hey moonie--You really do suck. You not only lose every argument with other commentors here, you lose every argument with yourself.
