Another Kangaroo Court Goes After W
Jay Bennish's Overland High isn't the only high school in the country where the three R's seem to be taking a backseat to moonbattery. At Parsippany High school in New Jersey, students are trying our President in absentia for imaginary crimes against humanity.
President Bush will be judged by an "international court of justice" made up of five teachers. It would be surprising if he fares any better than he did in the cartoonish kangaroo court held in the Capitol basement last June, at which Rep. John Conyers (D-MI) got to play judge. There W was found guilty of an imaginative variety of crimes stemming from his failure to govern in accordance with the precepts of left-wing lunacy.
When our current President has been dispensed with, teacher Joseph Kyle plans to move on to past President Andrew Jackson, who has been regarded highly enough to be featured prominently on the $20 bill, but who will stand accused of being mean to Indians.

Please Lord, end the madness.

Amen to that one.

And I suppose they WILL NOT be using the Anglo-American jurisprudence method in their court.
That would defeat the whole purpose now, wouldn't it.
I'm sure they prefer the old Sino-Soviet Mao-Stalinist mock-trial method, right?
Here's a thought. why don't they take a class trip to Havana and hold these trials!
Posted by: Doug at March 3, 2006 12:18 PM
I heard one of the kids on the radio defending the trial, and claiming that he was a "libertarian." Um, isn't putting an American president on trial before an international court without any constitutional protections the anti-thesis of libertarianism?

You're whining about a school exercise?

Unfortunately Jackson was responsible for the "Trail of Tears". As a side note a congressman stood against Jackson and destroyed his promising career --- His name? David Crockett, who upon losing his house seat said
"They can go to hell, I'm going to Texas"

Who is this hashfatastic? Is he/she really that daft and dumb?
Posted by: Fuzzlenutter at March 4, 2006 10:31 AM
Whatever we do, let us not drive these folks away. They give us a unique insight into the mindset of the far left, both politically and intellectually. Confrontation with these folks is useless in a way. I have posted before advice my late father once gave me.
"When you are debating people on the left side of the intellectual curve, they almost always can not comprehend what you are saying or refuse to listen. When debating someone one the right hand side, remember the fool on the left."

Afer reviewing hashfanatic's postings, I wonder whether this indiviual is an agent provocateur type, or truly a character worthy of mention in the Malkin book, "Unhinged".
Posted by: ex-expat at March 4, 2006 11:20 AM
ex-pat,
That is a good point. Often wondered the same about some of these people.
When I read comments by individuals like this, I always try to conger up a mental image of the person doing such. Sometimes that image is really not pleasant. Then, I try to apply the "common man" rule to what they are saying. Imagine some of these people in a setting with the average person, trying to convince them of his views. It just does not fly.
Got a feeling most of these folks, their friends, and associates are like germs growing in a petri dish, you are always surrounded by nothing but more germs, so that is your world view.

My thoughts? The first guy, who was using the classroom for anti-Bush rants, is a moron. He should be told to cut it out, and if he doesn't do so, he should be fired.
The second guy sounds like an incredible teacher, the kind who really inspires his kids. Let's look at the facts:
1. When Clinton was in office, he had his students conduct a trial of Clinton. The point isn't who's in office for him, the point is what his students learn via debate.
2. He's making sure both sides are being presented fairly and equally.
3. He's not injecting his own personal opinions into the process.
4. He checked with the administration first and cleared it through them before doing it.
5. He seems to really, genuinely be about his students and their learning. The students are defending him, and the students unanimously agreed to do this before it began.
Is Bush an impeachable war crminal? Jesus Christ, no. Of course not.
But is there a valuable learning experience for the kids in being able to talk this out, debate it, take roles, and test their ideas analytically? Yes, definitely.
This teacher is inspiring his students to think, and he's not trying to guide them to a specific conclusion like that moron in the first story you linked to.

Is Bush NOT an impeachable war criminal?
He's only the worst terrorist the world has ever known.
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 4, 2006 10:09 PM
Oh that's right, because Bush personally flew all those jet airliners in to the WTC and the pentagon, blew up the london ungerground, set of several bombs in madrid and has spent the last decade setting off bombs across the indian sub-continent in order to kill or subjugate all the hindus...
Looser.
Posted by: Archonix at March 5, 2006 6:09 AM
Personally? No.
But he and his cast of cronies certainly had a hand in engineering it all.
9/11 was absolutely an inside job.
Learn how to spell, moron.
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 5, 2006 3:24 PM
Heh. One typo and that's all you can focus on?
My initial assessment was correct. You're a looser. I'm not going to bother refuting you anymore. :)
Posted by: Archonix at March 5, 2006 3:38 PM
And you're an asshole if you actually spell the same word incorrectly, twice-after having been clued in on it.
Jesus F. Christ, the sheepele have gone international. How disconcerting.
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 5, 2006 9:50 PM
And what does it make you, hashfanatic, when you call someone an "asshole" for making a spelling mistake, yet you yourself make one in nearly every post (this last one included)?
A product of our wonderful public schools?

Show me the errors, wingnut.
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 5, 2006 11:42 PM
"sheepele" should be sheeple? ;) Unless Pele, goddess of the volcano, has suddenly decided to prove her femininity by adding a long SHEEEE on the beginning.
I AM SHEEEEPELE, GODDESS OF THE VOLCANO! HEAR ME ROAR! GRRRL POWER! etc etc...
And, for your information, "looser" is an acceptible ethnic variant.
Posted by: Archonix at March 6, 2006 5:29 AM
Uh, to add the suffix "-le" to a name or reference is common in New York, and particularly Jewish culture, and frequently needs to be employed to soften the "blow" of such a epithet, to limit the size of the inevitable resulting neocon persecution complex and temper tantrum.
To which prevalent American ethnic group is "looser" an acceptable "ethnic variant"?
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 6, 2006 8:27 AM
'to add the suffix "-le"'
Interesting. Perhaps you spelled "sheep" as "sheepe" then, because that's the only way I can see for "sheep" + "le" to be come "sheepele". It's Sheeple. :)
And, as I previously explained, I'm not from the US. I'm actually from a large city in the north of england - there aren't many up here so you can probably guess it within three tries - which contains many "ethnic" groups, for a given value of "ethnic". You see, ethnicity is a very malleable thing. Draw a line from the southern end of offa's dyke to just above newcastle and you've fairly accurately split the country in to its two major ethnic groups. But even within that, there are perhaps a hundred different ethnic groups. Until recently it was rare for someone to leave their county and as a consequence - again until recently - you would be able to find a great many dialects of english within a small area. Each dialect can be easilly associated with a particular ethnic group within the country and you can often find several ethnic groups within a very close area.
Oh, but... from the tone of your post you probably have "ethnic" confused with "racial". :) IN which case, no particular racial group prefers to spell it that way.
"Looser" is the preferred spelling of ethnic group known as the Memyzelvenaye, native originally to the county of Cheshire, though with Irish and Scottish ancestry to go along with the saxo-celtic heritage of their forefathers, and currently inhabiting the afforementioned large northern city, confidently spelling it "looser" despite complaints from all and sundry.
Incidentally you missed my other major faux-pas: ungerground. I mean, come on, if I replace the d with a g then I'm obviously illiterate and not worth listening to. Right?
Now, are we done comparing our spelling bees? Because I think your bong is melting or something.

Oh, Chreeeist, more robotic rhetoric from the flying monkey right.
You really need to look into getting into some sort of program before you leave this planet, you know?
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 7, 2006 1:22 AM
You slay me. Really.
Posted by: Archonix at March 7, 2006 3:42 AM
Isn't that a common Moonbat theme, that one must get into some nebulous 'program' for mental well-being and happiness? Brings to mind a bumper sticker I saw shortly after I had returned home; "Annoy a liberal. Work hard and be happy. "

You right-wingers are always equipped with a smart-aleck answer, but God forbid you should ever bother to answer the question that is given you.
It was never really our business to have to guide you and hold your hands through the everyday struggles of life ("Now, Johnny, do NOT kill...Johnny, I TOLD you, don't STEAL food...)
It was not our job to have to constantly be the adult, the policeman, while you bumble your way through life as children, tempers at all.
Posted by: hashfanatic at March 7, 2006 9:25 PM
"but God forbid you should ever bother to answer the question that is given you."
There's that projection again! You're the one who's consistently refused to answer points put to you by people posting here. Feeling guilty about it?
Posted by: Archonix at March 8, 2006 11:35 AM
Oh, incidentally, if you're wondering, try saying "Memyzelvenaye" out loud.
