When a Tie Is Not Just a Tie
It's not easy for the MSM to top itself when it comes to fatuousness — and yet it always manages somehow. Here's what the Washington Post had to say about the pink tie Dick Cheney was wearing when he was interviewed on Fox News about the overblown hunting accident:
Cheney's pink four-in-hand registered in the manner of pigtails on a gangsta rapper. In the parlance of hip-hop, the look is full of macho swagger and the not-so-subtle suggestion that even with the hairdo of a pre-adolescent girl, the rapper is still the toughest thing standing in the room. The incongruous sartorial flourish is a display of irony and confidence.
Say what? Before long, the WaPo piece has reached this highly original conclusion:
For Cheney, a pink tie was a weapon.
Hopefully Cheney is coordinating with Donald Rumsfeld on this new breakthrough in military technology.

Hasn't Donald Trump also sported a pink necktie on episodes of The Apprentice?

Wait! I also redcall the WP taking Condi Rice to task for wearing knoe-high black boots w/a long black overcoat, calling here look, something out of The Matrix.
Can't win, I guess. Perhaps they'd be happier if barrels were worn instead?

Gee - I thought the pink tie was meant to send a subliminal message that he was gay.
