Pastries of the Thin-Skinned Prophet
Until they get their nuclear weapons operational, Iran's ayatollahs have to make do when it comes to punishing the West. For example, Iran is avenging itself on Denmark for being the home of bland infidel cartoons by officially changing the name of Danish pastries to "Roses of Muhammad."
Iran's confectioners' union ordered the name change:
Given the insults by Danish newspapers against the prophet, as of now the name of Danish pastries will give way to "Rose of Muhammad" pastries.
Explains an obedient cake shop owner in northern Tehran:
This is a punishment for those who started misusing freedom of expression to insult the sanctities of Islam.
Iranian Danishes aren't actually from Denmark anyway. Iran has cut all commercial ties with Denmark over the cartoons.

I don't recalll any union-style organisations in the US actually endorsing that name. The confectioner's union is, of course, a government mandated organisation, as are all the unions in Iran, which would effectively make this a government policy. What private companies call their produce is up to them, of course...
And yes, it was a bit silly with hindsight.

When they put icing on the "roses of mohamad" they'd better make sure the swirl in the icing doesn't create a likeness of .... you know who.

And here I thought Roses of Mohammed was all those virgins they've got squirreled away up there in the heavens waiting for those nice friendly bomber boys.
Hey, on that 72 virgin thing - anybody ever wonder what got all those virgins dead in the first place so they could ascend to the heavens to begin with? Cripes I am sick of these people and sick of Islam, the religion of insanity, 100% sexual dysfunction and 1000% hate.
