Mother Moonbat Sounds Retreat in Germany

Lately Germany has been fertile ground for moonbattery — yet there have been encouraging signs that a change could be in the air. The election of Angela Merkel was one. Another is the counterprotest that was planned against Cindy Sheehan, who has taken her traveling circus to Europe to harass and demoralize our troops there.

The Ditch Witch had planned a demonstration outside Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and Ramstein Air Base on March 11. German writer Stefan Prystawik organized opposition to this tasteless stunt.

"First of all, it's completely inappropriate to instrumentalize the troops here particularly, and above all, those who have suffered severe injuries and are at the hospital," said Prystawik. "They are coming here with an attitude to deliberately demoralize troops who just got back or are going to go back [to Iraq]."

Now it seems that Mother Moonbat is sounding the retreat. Amid a bunch of blather about the "industrial military complex," she seems to be calling off the Code Pink–style hospital assault. As Prystawik puts it:

Her handlers have decided that mocking wounded soldiers might not play too well even in our one party media.

Could it be that the world's tolerance for this wretched woman is starting to wear a little thin?

You know, for someone with no apparent sources of income, she certainly get around both in the US and abroad, but no questions are being asked about where's the funding for all this coming from.

Ah, as I suspected, Gold Star Families for Peace provides the wherwithal. Guess her challenge made last year about not filing a tax return is an empty one.

I would think that she may know something of the subject, since she actually values the lives of those AMERICAN men and women you so gleefully send out to slaughter.

Maybe she knows that if you are injured in battle in Iraq, and you are evaced to Ramstein, and you die on the plane, the government classifies you as a non-combat injury, which screws the family out of survivor benefits.

Yeah, you guys are SO civilized.

The media doesn't give a fig about maimed or dying soldiers.

But, they all know that ABC anchor Bob Woodruff, and his cameraman, Doug Vogt, were treated and probably saved because of Landstuhl.

Oy, what a hatchet face on that Lefty dame!

Who was contesting the amazing skills of the staff at Landstuhl? They are a blessing for our troops.

What on earth does Woodruff have to do with Sheehan or the military industrial complex that Republican President Eisenhower warned us so eloquently of....in 1960??

Sheehan may not be any raving beauty to you, but I prefer to respect and honor the essence she carries within, anyway.

Monica Crowley's blackboard-scratch whining and Laura Ingraham's ironing-board-cover charisma give me the dry heaves whenever I have the misfortune of seeing or hearing their satanic presences over the airwaves.

But what does that have to do with the price of tea in China, mmmm?
