Higher Education Vagina-Swirling Down the Drain

The post below on University of Washington Student Senate members who oppose erecting a statue of working class part-Sioux war hero Pappy Boyington on the grounds that he's a rich white murderer might give people the idea that college students aren't learning much these days. But actually, they are learning all sorts of imaginative things. Sometimes they even learn for a cause. And the learning isn't limited to the classroom.

University of Pennsylvania recently hosted the Sex Toy Box Social, at which demonstrations instructed students of this prestigious Ivy League school on how to use sex toys.

The event gave "dignity to sexuality" and helped "highlight the power of female sexuality," according to one Penn freshman. But it also had a higher purpose: to raise funds to help people abort their children.

At University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill, Feminist Students United and V-Day teamed up to produce "Sex-travaganza," billed as "a fun and informative sex-positive party":

Presentation on fun and safe sex techniques given by the Center for Healthy Student Behaviors, make your own Vagina Swirl to eat, Safe Sex Party Bags to take home, test your knowledge in the Sex Quiz and win tantalizing prizes from Cherry Pie.

While it's encouraging that college women are being taught valuable masturbation skills, feminists must be disappointed to see no mention of funds at the UNC event going to help rid women of inconvenient babies.
