Babs Boxer Versus the Ditch Witch

It looks like even the outer fringes of the Democratic Party are starting to realize that there are limits to how far out on their cracking limb they can go and expect voters to follow them. Barbara Boxer, a Marin County moonbat who was one of the 23 Senators far enough out there to vote against Bush's authorization to use force against Saddam, is pleading with Cindy Sheehan not to make good on her threat to run for the Senate.

Mother Moonbat would be going after Dianne Feinstein's seat, ostensibly to punish her for not frothing at the mouth when she discusses the war in Iraq. Boxer, whose views seem to be well to the left of the liberal Feinstein's, nonetheless would prefer a relative moderate on the Senate than subject the Democratic Party to the ridicule it would richly deserve if a rabidly anti-American media whore like Sheehan were to represent it in the Senate.

"I don't think having her in the Senate election helps her at all," Boxer frets, referring to Sheehan and her defeatist cause. "I think it might have the opposite effect."

Let's hope so. But then, the Dems have managed to survive having Chappaquiddick Ted in the Senate — and there's no doubt Sheehan would help them shore up the support of the America-loathing, pro-terrorist fanatics who increasingly dominate the core of their party.

With thanks to V the K and William.

Story idea for a TV sitcom: Teddy and Cindy's Judiciary Committee.

Tag line: "Just when you thought Ted Kennedy was the last voice of the people, here comes Cindy Sheehan to bolster his efforts at protecting America from that vast right-wing conspiracy to take over the courts."

I think that would qualify as a Grimm Fairy Tale.

I dunno. Durbin, Leahey, Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi, Reid, Conyers--do the American people REALLY know who these fine folks are, what they stand for? I think most would be APPALLED.
