Al Gore: February Moonbat of the Month™
Al Gore has yet another accomplishment to add to his resume. In association with Something... and Half of Something, Moonbattery has named him February 2006 Moonbat of the Month™.
The award is in recognition of the extreme moonbattery Prince Albert displayed in Jeddah (home town of Osama bin Laden), where he told the mostly Saudi audience at a conference funded in part by Osama bin Laden's family that the US government "indiscriminately rounded up" Arabs after 9/11 and held them in "unforgivable" conditions, inflicting "terrible abuses" on them.
Needless to say, it doesn't take much to get Muslims worked up against the West these days. The next time they launch a terrorist strike murdering thousands of Americans, they can thank Gore for assisting in their recruiting efforts, as well as for providing some moral justification from the point of view of anyone who doesn't know better than to take prominent Democrats seriously.
Hats off to al-Gore — thankfully he didn't get to be President, but he does get to be Moonbat of the Month™!

When I was a kid I used to pantomime Al Jolson. Hit it Al, "Mammmy, mammmy, the sun shines east, the sun shines west, but I know where the sun shines best." Drat. Goodby career, I've been upstaged. Well, maybe I can hold him off at the "Aflack" line.

LOL!
Al is such a source of entertainment these days!
I love Moonbats, especially when they flip out to the extremse like big Al. They're so funny!
Laughing AT you, not WITH you big dumb Pinko.

Captions?
"That's-a one-a spicy meat-a-ball!"
"We've always known that the sun doth shine from gore's ass; now we have proof that he's also talking out of it."

Unfortunately for you both, Gore happens to have spoken the truth, and as for you? Well, let's add yet more failure to your heap!!
You really need to pack up and move out of this country. Soon.

Lets assume for the moment that he's referring to the Guantanamo Bay prison (or gitmo as it's often called these days). Most of the people there aren't arab. They're mainly africans, asians, europeans and eurasions of various stripe with a smattering of arabs in proportion to their representation in the various battles that these people were rounded up after. It's quite a pot-pouri. The only thing they seem to have in common is being in a warzone and shouting "allahu akbar" at coalition troops while throwing bullets. Oh yeah, and being islamic.
What was that about the truth?
Incidentally, that whole "you need to leave the country" thing smacks of projection, just a little. Isn't it always lefties that proclaim they're going to move out if something they don't like happens? I recall that a certain Baldwin brother claimed he was going to leave the US if Bush won the election.
Twice.
Whereas, in my experience, the right has, in general, vowed to remain and fight their corner if things don't go their way.
Also, you need to be more emphatic. "Soon" should be "now". No wonder you don't get anything you want. You're not assertive enough.

The right hasn't EARNED any place to contribute meaningfully to any intelligent dialogue that may have once existed in this nation.
They have given the working people of the nation nothing but illegal war, torture, suffering, and lies.
Every day is, yet, under the aegis of the Bush Crime Family, another pack of lies, and another bitter dose of failure.
How soon is now?
This nation will be embroiled in recovery from neonconservatism and its failed policies for decades.
Like it or not, I don't recall any Arab leader presiding over the drowning of one of its major cities, and that's a fact no repug will ever be able to talk themselves out of.

Little bit jittery on the mouse there mate? Little bit frustrated, perhaps? Cut too close to the one did I?
I do recall several arab leaders presiding over the deliberate destruction of their own major cities. Talk to the residents of Hama, Syria, if you want an example. Oh, you can't, because they're all dead. They died in a bombardment that lasted for a week, and then their entire city was crushed by buldozers, courtesy of the syrian government. Or maybe you could talk to the inhabitants of the Kurdish north of Iraq, where hundreds of thousands were massacred by the Arab saddam hussein, merely for not being 100% loyal. Or you could talk to the jordanian government and ask them how they dealt with the palestinians living in teh west bank when they anexxed it; I'll give you a clue. Bullets and bombs were involved. Or maybe you could ask why so many young man in Bandar Abbass are lying in early graves... ok, so Iran is aryan, but close enough. I recall all of these events to a greater or lesser degree. Perhaps you should read up on yoru history a little bit, instead of relying on the propoganda you learned in school.
Now, perhaps we could talk to Nagin, who spectacularly failed to implement the city's emergency evacuation plans, despite knowing what was coming, and who further refused to ask the federal government to step in and help for nearly three days. Then you might want to check up on the average response time by the federal government to national emergencies. The response to Katrina was one of the festest in US history, bringing 10,000 emergency workers in to the area in just under 3 days. That's damn fast. Lets not forget that the entire coastal area of the state was virtually destroyed by katrina. That's an area the size of New Jersey, Connecticutt, Massechusets, and New Hampshire combined. A lot of real estate.
Mississippi was as badly hit as Louisiana, yet it recovered a great deal faster. The difference between the two states? Their average wealth isn't too different. In fact LA, with all the trade that comes to its ports, should be richer. LA, though, is run by lefties, wheras MS is run by a centre-right government. LA wasted all its money on social programs that kept people in poverty, whereas MS used its wealth to make sure it was prepared for situations like this. LA's population are too poor to look after themselves in an emergency, and too reliant on their state government to look after them. MS's population, by and large, are more able to look after themselves; they're richer, despite their earnings being no higher than those of LA.
It's the left that failed in Louisiana, not the right. It's the left that caused all those deaths, by reducing people to penury so they couldn't help themselves and then abandoning them to their fate.

You killed all those thousands of defenseless citizens in New Orleans. Just like you continue to kill and maim all our troops in Iraq, for your lies.

This is baffling.
Do you not see the difference between the assistance that red state Mississippi and the Bush crony Governor Haley Barbour received, versus blue state Louisiana?
Bush lied and lied, about what he knew, and what he intended to do, all along.
This has indeed been PROVEN tonight by the video which shows Bush being advised days before he admits to.
I'm so HAPPY! You guys always prove yourselves wrong! Even when you THINK you are right, we just debunk your fascist propaganda faster than you can put it up!
Thank you!

The difference lies in the fact that MS immediately asked for federal aid when they knew they would be overwhelmed, whereas the governor of LA decided to wait. And wait. And wait...
And as for that video, it proves nothing of the sort. Hurricanes put out a whole hell of a lot of rain and the advisors were questioning the wisdom of using the superdome, which is below sea level, as a shelter in that sort of situation. They were worried about floods caused by rainfall, not breached levees. Of ocursee the fact that the state government had been diverting funds for the levees for over 50 years might also be something you need to investigate.
And no, I'm not australia. British in fact.
I like the fact that you've decided to ascribe this to me personally, now. You're also ignoring my little debunk of your "arab leaders" rant... yes, they never presided over the flooding of one of their major cities but I suspect they'd be glad of the water, frankly.
You can proclaim "bush lied" as much as you like but the federal government is powerless to act without a request from the state government, and the state government of LA didn't make that request until it was far too late, whereas MS asked straight away. They didn't need as much help regardless because they were better prepared and hadn't frittered all their money away on useless socialist projects and the governor's vanity.

Let's analyze.
Bush is confronted with the fact that a major hurricane is headed for the Gulf Coast, and does nothing.
Bush is confronted with the fact that it is a Category 5 storm, after having been REMINDED that the levees only POSSIBLY could handle a Category 3 storm, and does nothing.
Bush is confronted with the reality of Katrina's aftermath, and does nothing.
Bush is confronted with the situation of tens of thousands of New Orleans residents drowned and floating in the river....and calls up his old buddy Haley Barbour, wondering where to go with all the bodies.
More nothing.
Bush is confronted with the nightmarish spectacle of a football stadium filled with refugees who are crying out for food, desperate for water, begging for toilet facilities, and Bush does nothing...for THEM....but calls for the rerouting of urgent rescue supplies to PASS the stadium, in order to furnish neighboring, more affluent Republican districts across the bridge with the means to stay alive.
My question is, what do you resent more: the fact that Bush ignored being confronted with the reality of Katrina on his watch, or that anyone bothered to confront him with reality and ask him to do his job at all?
Maybe he was looking for a classroom of children to read another story to, first.

I hear about a lot of the celeberity types going off and finding themselves. I wish Al would go off and find himself in a world of hurt. What a dickhead......
