The Gray Lady's Sour Grapes Over Ground Zero

The Drawing Center, which specializes in distasteful leftist propaganda that goes completely over the top, may have found a new home in what was once the Fulton Fish Market. This is bittersweet news for the New York Times, which continues to gripe that this highly unpatriotic institution could not be housed at Ground Zero, where anti-American insults might have maximum impact.

With the bitter incoherence of a psychotic bag lady, the Gray Hag mutters:

The real question is what ground zero has lost by losing the Drawing Center. The answer depends on many things, especially the perplexing fate of the memorial design and the character of the inchoate memorial museum. At best, ground zero has lost the ability to stand for freedom of speech, that most American principle. At worst, it risks becoming a deeply fragmented place, divided between mourning and shopping.

The editorial does not mention that even Hillary Clinton opposed rubbing salt into our country's wounds by installing a soapbox for infantile moonbats at Ground Zero. Nor does it mention that one of the reasons it won't be there is because families of 9/11 victims were outraged by the plans of liberal elitists to subvert this sacred ground, and put up stiff resistance to the idea of transforming it into what the appalling Bill Maher would approvingly call the "Why They Hate Us Pavilion."

Anybody who's watched Shrillary long enough knows that her actions weren't inspired by any feelings of patriotism or guilt. They were purely politically motivated, which'll bite her ass in 2008.

Why in hell should GZ stand for freedom of speech? It was a business complex and the owners should have been allowed to use the site as they wished.

If the NYT is so concerned then they can build a muesum dedicated to freedom of speech. But that would be spending their own money wouldn't it?
