PA State Senator Jim Ferlo and the Sheehan/Murtha Formula

You've probably never heard of Pennsylvania State Senator Jim Ferlo, and with any luck, you can forget he ever existed as soon as you finish reading this. But he may personify a phenomenon that would seem inevitable in the wake of the fame media fifth-columnists have bestowed upon vermin like Cindy Sheehan and John Murtha as a reward for undermining our country's morale in wartime.

Ferlo has been applying the Sheehan/Murtha formula in hopes of advancing his own career. Rather than attend to the business of serving Pennsylvania taxpayers, he has launched a moonbat jihad against the President. The Highland Park Democrat has set up the website www.pittsburghimpeachbush.org to collect signatures of fellow embittered liberals unwilling to abide by the electorate's choice. He also reportedly plans to run an ad in the sleazy alternative Pittsburgh City Paper urging people to contact their congressional representatives in support of an impeachment resolution.

As the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wonders,

But what about all the important issues that a state senator is supposed to be worrying about now — lowering property taxes for Pennsylvanians, bringing new jobs to the state, fixing roads and bridges, helping [Pittsburgh] Mayor Bob O'Connor get more state aid to ease city budget problems, and other such things?

Never mind all that boring stuff; Ferlo has bigger issues — like trying to make a name for himself at a time when seditious rhetoric buys adulation from the media.

Ferlo is a nobody and will probably remain a nobody. But it's disgusting to think how many more like him there may be out there.
