Nagin Has Good News and Bad News For Bush
Posted by Dave Blount at January 17, 2006 8:31 PM
The good news is, New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has absolved the Bush Administration of directly causing Katrina to hit his city by asserting that God did it. The bad news is, God did it at least in part out of anger at America for deposing Saddam Hussein, who Nagin presumably feels governed by God's principles. So Bush does bear some responsibility after all. Check out the video at The Political Teen. Here's a transcript, via Michelle Malkin:
As we think about rebuilding New Orleans, surely God is mad at America. He sent us hurricane after hurricane after hurricane, and it's destroyed and put stress on this country. Surely he’s not approval (sic) of us being in Iraq under false pretenses. But surely he is upset at black America also.
As you see, it's not all George Bush's fault. God is also mad at black people. But God still wants New Orleans to be kept "chocolate" — i.e., majority black (hat tip: RightWinged.com).
There's been no word from the Mayor of Biloxi on whether God wants his town to remain vanilla. Maybe A.J. Holloway just doesn't have Nagin's connections.
At this point, no one needs to be told what happens when nitwits like Nagin are left in charge of major cities when a crisis arises.
